Molly and I kicked of the wedding by getting a mani/pedi.
We figured there was a chance everyone would want to see the rings, and subsequently see our nails. Also, we planned on being in bare feet during the ceremony.
Afterwards we stopped by Victoria Gastro Pub for a quick bite to eat…
Before meeting Molly’s mother and step-father at their hotel.
Molly likes being pushed around.
We went for a walk at the lakefront in Columbia, MD.
And then headed to grab some more food.
We sat outside to eat.
We dropped them off at the hotel and headed home for the night.
The next morning we went to the wedding venue for planning.
We needed to figure out how things were going to go the day of the wedding.
It was a great day to put your feet in the water.
We took a minute to show some kids how to skip stones down by the river.
My mother was the Wedding Captain for the day of the wedding. She got to call the real-time shots if something was needed.
Roger and Pamela arrived a little later…
And we went to figure out where the ceremony was going to take place.
Molly and I had decided on getting married under this tree.
We then had to figure out where Molly was going to make her entrance from.
After the planning was done, we left and headed to…
White Oak Tavern for…
Some really yummy treats!!!
The cobbler was great!!!!
That night it was dinner at Iron Bridge Wine Company…
With some of Molly’s family.
The next day, Molly’s family came to the house.
They were going to make our flower crowns to wear during the wedding.
While the ladies went about this business…
I went out and picked up some more supplies.
Side-by-side for the first time.
Time for the rehearsal dinner.
We decided to have it at our favorite local suschi restaurant, Katana Sushi.
Decsions, decsions.
The whole gang had finally arrived!!!
Yummy sushi!!!!!
Molly greets her niece.
It was a very exciting time for us.
The Habichts. My father and I wore the jerseys I got the both of us for Father’s Day
My family.
Some beautiful flowers in a new vase from Molly’s Aunt Paula and Uncle Casey/
Saturday morning vinyl, apropos for our wedding day.
We had the car loaded with supplies, and we made our way to the park.
What a BEAUTIFUL day! We had to buy passes to get into the park for everyone that day. You can see ours on the dashboard.
Just getting started with so much to do and just under 2 hours to go.
We had help from family and friends to set up the pavillion.
It was coming along nicely!!!
And 20 minutes at was even better!!
This is how it looked from the outside.
My father took a lot of pictures that morning while we were setting up…
And my mother was the wedding day Captain, in charge of anything that needed attention.
As people began to arrive, they jumped in to help set up.
While others signed the guest book.
Yup, even on my wedding day I had my camera.
The food and drinks were laid out and ready to go.
As were all the cupcakes in the pink boxes.
Me and the photogropher (also named Scott) talking about shooting the wedding.
Mathew was also a big help getting things organized.
And Roger was a big help running the ceremony!
It was good to see all of our friends come together for the day.
Steve helped blow up the cactus ring toss.
Riley wore a tux for the event.
We had corn hole for everyone to play…
And I was happy to see it was getting used.
Cheers!!!
We had papeles picados hung up to add to the color of theday.
We had a mariachi band (hence the Saturday morning vinyl) play at our wedding.
Thanks Erin, for some of the great photos.
The bands was really good, and the acoustics in the pavillion were great.
Centerpieces/takeways for everyone.
With the crowd getting thick…
It was time to start getting ready for the ceremony.
The band started playing some music…
Roger got on the microphone and pulled everyone over…
And Mathew and I had a private moment together before I headed over.
Brian helping Lola see over the crowds.
Everyone was gathered around waiting for the ceremony to start.
There was a delay in gettng Molly ready…
So everyone enjoyed the nice day…
Things were almost ready, so Mathew and I started the long walk from where we had been sitting.
Lots of bubble blowing during the ceremony…
Thanks to the bubbles we provided.
Molly was ready, so Mathew and I made our entrance…
Time to get started!!!
We could just see Molly coming from the trees…
She has been hiding in the woods getting ready for the ceremony.
I was very happy to see her looking beautiful!!
Almost there!
And there she was!!!
Her mother took her bouquet…
And we got underway.
We had encouraged everyone to take photos and share, so several of the photos, like this one, came from our guests.
So pretty, my bride!!!
I’m not sure what my mother is trying to say, but it’s probably an attempt to get my father to watch the wedding.
We were both very happy!!!
My father was busy taking crowd shots.
Molly was trying her best not to cry.
And I was floating on cloud nine.
Kelli did a reading, athough she memorized it, so no need to read.
I was so happy she was a part of our wedding.
And Molly was, too.
Then it was time for me to read my vows to Molly.
Which I’m glad I had printed out.
All done with those…
And now it was Molly’s turn.
She was very emotional when she read hers.
But she did a great job…
And was able to get through them.
Now it was time to get to the good sutff.
She slipped the ring on my finger…
And Mathew provided me with her ring…
That I slipped onto her finger.
With that, Roger gave the word…
The crowd waited…
And it was time to kiss!!!
Happily married!!!
OK everyone, had back to the pavillion to continue the party.
The post wedding moments are a blur…
But Molly’s family friend us aside and took this photo, it’s our favorite photo from the wedding.
With everyone asking to take our picture…
Riley was happy, too.
Our photographer showing us some good shots.
We were so happy!
My parents.
Molly’s mom and dad.
We had finally put on our shoes.
And the mariachi band was still going strong.
Lots of friends and colleagues were ejoying themselves. From left to right – Molly, Hans, Avinash, Scott, John, and Mathew.
We were so happy with the mariachi band’s energy and music.
Time to eat!
Riley is interested in the sandwiches.
The ring toss was a game and a cooler for iced tea and lemonade.
Bea got overheated and passed out. It was very hot.
And the band kept playing lively tunes.
Friends since high school!!!
The mariachi band even had a guitarron!
Thanks Barb for making the trip!
The mother of the bride needs to eat, too.
Kelli and Sarah made sure to keep Riley from getting underfoot.
It was so wonderful to see everyone. I was making my rounds to make sure I said hello to everyone.
Lots of Molly’s friends from work came. Thanks Heidi, Amy, and Christen for coming and bringing your families.
Victoria Gastro Pub pals made it out too. From left to right, Chris, Beth, Jennifer, Sherri, and Bob.
We had a huge variety of beer – and they went fast!
Scott’s extended family were all there.
Corn hole was a hit!
Mathew and Erin.
We were glad we had rented the large pavilion.
Riley was getting in on the festivities.
Scott’s work crew.
My mom made us this wonderful quilt.
Time for bubbly!
The quilt featured pictures of our early days together.
Everyone loved the mini sombreros!
Molly’s friends and family traveled from near and far to be there.
Molly with my work friends.
Molly’s cousins.
This was the first time we had seen Tom, Lori, and Ava outside Ocean City.
Although it was really hot, people stayed pretty cool in the shade.
Some of my oldest friends and their families.
Molly’s friends from Krav Maga friends came.
Molly’s DC friends came (even those who now live in New York!).
Molly’s auntie’s wife, Sandra, was looking for prime pics, too.
Molly’s auntie, Christina, and her wife Sandra came all the way from New Mexico. Molly’s Aunt Paula is in the background.
Bernie, Hila, and Matt.
Pamela and Nancy.
Barbara, Pamela, and Lennie.
Molly’s mom was so happy.
Mathew started his best man’s toast.
We were flattered by what he said…
And although we had to remind him to say cheers…
He got flustered, and said “Welcome to the family, Kelli,” instead of “Molly.”
It’s an easy mistake to make – I love you Mat.
Brothers.
Molly’s dad, Rob, and her Great-Aunt Ruth.
Molly’s dad made his toast.
And warmly welcomed me to the family.
Beach buds.
Instead of going the traditional route of a wedding cake, we had vanilla and chocolate cupcakes.
Time to feed each other the cupcakes!
I was nice and careful.
But Molly…
…was not.
How rude!
Everyone loved the cupcakes. And we forgot to eat the cupcakes we had frozen on our first anniversary. Maybe we’ll remember on the second.
Do you think there are enough cupcakes? Molly’s cousin Ben is finding the perfect one.
Molly’s dad loves mariachi music, and knows many of the songs.
The rings!!!
Clockwise from left – Aubrey, Skyler, Ellie, and Scott.

Pinata time!!!
Riley wanted some Molly time.
The kids lined up by height…
And then took turns trying to hit the pinata.
It was very difficult to break, so Molly gave it a try.
She had trouble, too, so I gave it a go.
Yeah, that did hte trick!!
The kids went crazy for the candy!!
And I broke the stick.
Molly to caption.
With 30 minutes or so to go, the party was still going stong.
It’s not often I get to see Robert when I’m not at the beach.
The Keefers.
Molly’s “Gang”.
We were married next to the Patapsco River, so we decided to head down to the water.
On a hot day, the water felt nice and cool.
Don’t we look like a couple of hippies.
I love skipping rocks.
We had an after party a few hours later at Victoria Gastro Pub.
It was for only a few close friends and family.
Nice shirt, dad.
Molly and her Mom.
And that’s it for the wedding photos!!
