For Thanksgiving, Molly and I were headed to Florida.
We caught the sunset…
Then hopped our plane to Tampa.
We arrived late and went to bed, but the next morning I worked poolside at Molly’s parents’ house.
The light from her laptop and the shadow from her glasses were giving her a unibrow.
With lots to cook, everyone got started on the food the day before Thanksgiving.
Enjoying some local brew (we were staying in Sarasota, FL).
That night for dinner we went to Phillippi Creek.
Fun drinks for everyone!!!!
Food was great (and really filling)!!!
We stopped at the beer store on the way home to get some good local beers.
Molly’s parents gave me a puzzle to do. You know I love puzzels.
Thasnksgiving morning and we cooked and watched the Macy’s Day parade.
I helped make the drinks.
It was a yummy cider drink.
The table was set…
And the turkey was ready.
While Roger carved the turkey…
I carved the Tofurkey.
Dinner was served!!!
Some cranberry sour beer to go with the food.
The puzzle didn’t take too long to complete.
I’m standing in the right spot, but the effect isn’t that great.
You can see Molly’s mom, Pamela, just outside of the footprints you were supposed to stand in.
We were walking around downtown Sarasota, and stopped for a drink at Mattison’s.
It was a great day outside.
Shopping on black Friday.
So much shopping required another drink.
We had a great time!!!
Later that night it was hot tub time.
There house was on a pond that included an alligator, but we didn’t see her
Needing some time alone, we went to the beach.
Great weather!!!
Great view!!!
After a while, we decided to head back.
But not before stopping at the Daiquiri Deck.
From there we went to The Star for some sushi. This was a shot that indluced a quail egg.
We also had some sake.
I had Molly join me in writing in the sand…
For a fun love note.
Notice how the sushi looks like a turkey?
As we were leaving Siesta Key, a parade was starting.
I twasn’t too long…
So we stayed around and watched.
Well that’s all from Florida…
Time to take a nap on the flight home.
