For the 10th year in a row I went to Delaware for the Dogfish Dash.
Molly and I were staying the weekend at the Dogfish Inn.
It’s a nice place to stay.
We headed into downtown Lewes for some drinks.
Oh, I do love good beer.
We ended up at the Pig and Pug later that night…
Where we met up with Sarah and Kelli.
Isn’t Riley the best!!!
We finished out the night having some beers back at the inn.
Saturday morning vinyl at the inn the next morning.
We walked into town again…
And got ourselves some breakfast.
There are bikes you can borrow from the inn…
So all four of us got bikes and went for a ride.
We rode over to the Delaware Bay to touch the water.
We passed by the ferry to Cape May…
And went to the Seaside Nature Center in Cape Henlopen State Park.
A quick look at the map to know where we were.
There was a pool in the lobby where you could touch rays.
You could touch the horseshoe crabs, too.
There were lots of fish tanks to look at.
We continued around the rest of the park before heading out.
On the way back we stopoped by the ferry.
They had a bar at the ferry that Kelli loved!!!!
We got some snacks before heading back to the inn.
Here is the route we took.
Back at the inn, things were getting set up for the campfire.
Molly and I scored a good seat…
As did Sarah and Kelli…
And then Sam Calagione showed up for a fireside chat.
Molly won a shower head as a prize!!!
Everyone there was running the race the next day.
Cheers!!! Sam held Riley for the picture.
We left there and took an Uber to…
Chesapeake & Maine for dinner.
Molly was cold so I ran next door and bought her a sweatshirt.
Dinner that night was really good!!!
The next morning it was race time!!!
Molly and I lined up to start…
And then ran a great race!!!
Everyone had a good time.
We wandered around in the store afterwards…
And then got together for a group shot.
Cheers to Mark, the race director.
We stopped at a brewery on the way home to end the great weekend!!
