Molly’s birthday weekend started with my company’s crab feast picnic.
There was plenty of fun to be had.
Everyone was having a good time…
Including Riley.
Molly was happy to visit the ice cream truck.
After the party, on the way by the beach, we stopped by the house my grandparents used to live in to see how it looked.
Then we were on our way to the beach.
We swung by Burley Oak for a few sour beers.
And said hello to Joy before leaving.
Well that seems fun. We’ll have to check that out this weekend.
Saturday morning vinyl.
It was raining on Saturday, so we went outlet shopping.
Molly got a new rain coat.
And loved that they put her name on the dressing room door.
For late afternoon snacks we headed to Rare and Rye.
Yummmmm!!!!
For her birthday dinner we went to The Shark.
Dinner was great…
And Molly blew out the candle on the table for a birthday wish.
The next morning (her actual birthday) she opened gifts.
We then headed out to the beach to lay in the sun.
She loves getting in the water.
Oh yeah, this is open to the public.
Sure, we’ll have some adult drinks poolside.
On our way home, we stopped by RAR brewing.
But they no longer allow dogs inside.
So we left there and stopped by Tammy’s Cool Things on the way home.
To finish off the night, we had sushi!!!
Always a good way to end a long ride.
Happy birthday, Molly!!!
Not being content with one trip to the beach, we came back the following weekend to make a birthday week.
Some yummy eats at Rare and Rye.
The next morning we grabbed coffee at a really good coffee place, Coastal Coffee Roasting.
The food wasn’t too bad either.
I know someone who likes bacon.
There was a tall ship in town, so we went to see it.
It was actually really small inside.
This was the biggest room.
Most were like this.
This is where the action would be at sea.
Fun under the riggings.
Cheswick, the “walk smart and use the crosswalks” mascot.
Molly considered buying this shirt, but thankfully opted not to.
The ship.
From there we rode the bikes to de Lazy Lizard.
We had a few drinks…
And then rode back to the pool across from the condo.
Time for a nap!!!
Later that night we went to the Reel Inn…
To see T-Lutz play.
It was in a very nice area.
Another bike day, this time Riley came along.
He loves riding in the bike basket.
We stopped for some breakfast at the inlet.
And then went back to the condo so we could lay out on the beach.
On our way home we had a few beers at Tall Tales Brewing.
We decided to eat there, too, as an excellent end to her birthday celebration…
Or was it?
No one could come to Molly’s original birthday party she had set up, so we did a belated one a month later at Bardo Brewing in DC.
Lots of her friends and mine came out to celebrate.
We brought yummy food…
And good friends!!!!
And that’s the end of her extended, one month long birthday celebration.
