Beach week started with a trip to the grocery store. Molly had injured her foot, so we used the cart.
Back at the condo we relaxed on bay side.
The next day we went out on Robert’s boat.
It was a great day to be on the water.
It can be a challange to get under the bridge if you’re going against the tide.
We stopped at M.R. Ducks for some food…
And I bought the girls sunglasses.
After that we took the boat to a sandbar to relax.
When got back to Robert’s, and said goodbye.
Tom hates it when someone (like this yellow car) parks in his spot.
The same people loveD to throw trash over the balcony.
The next day we met up with Robert again, this time at Mackey’s.
When walking arounD the beach we found this horseshoe crab digging.
The girls were enjoying digging, too.
We said goodbye for the day and headed home.
The next morning we drove to Assateague Island.
The beach was mostly empty…
And we parked and went for a walk.
After our walk, I let Molly drive for a while.
We left Assateague Island and went for some lunch.
The clam tacos were GREAT!!!
Molly bought a conch, but couldn’t bear to kill it to eat it….
So she threw it back into the ocean.
We then flew some kites.
The girls watched TV for a little while…
And then we said goodye to everyone.
The next day Molly and I took the bikes and headed north.
We were transitioning from Memorial Day weekend to Ravens Roost weekend.
We ate some food before heading back.
We were both working from the beach, and took a break to go out to the beach.
We had to say goodbye to the beach for about 48 hours to head home.
We stopped at RAR brewing on the way…
And then at Fisherman’s Crab Deck before finishing the journey home.
The next day after work we hit up Tortino’s in DC for some food.
And the day after that, we were back at the beach!!
The Ravens Roost party was in full swing.
Saturday came, and it was my birthday!!!
And what better thing to do for your birthday than walk in a parade!!
Molly had her boot on for her foot, so we rode bikes.
Afterwards we started our traditional pub crawl at Buxy’s Salty Dog.
Some yummy eats to get started.
Cheers!!!!
The next few bars were a lot of fun and included a T-Lutz sighting.
Back at the condo there was time for some saturday morning vinyl.
Cindy was feeling good!!!
Everyone had a good time.
Later, Molly gave me a really cool birthday present!!!
The next day we ended the trip with a short time on the beach before heading home.
