Heading to Dublin, Ireland for work, and I was taking a red eye flight, so I bought myself a neck pillow.
Looks like it will work just fine.
The flight was delayed 3 hours, so I watched Hot Tub Time Machine 2 while waiting for the flight to take off.
The next morning we arrived in Dublin.
I had a nice hotel bathroom.
And the room itself was of good size.
Not much of a view, however.
Time to start mingling with the customers.
We had a big welcome party for everyone.
Afterwards we went drinking at a bar around the corner.
The beer I was drinking, Cute Hoor.
With dinner I had a pilsner.
Funny money.
I took a picture of this bag with intentions to visit the store later in the trip.
The next day, I was off to see around Dublin.
I walked through a nice park…
Before heading to the Book of Kells.
It is at Trinity College.
The main library area.
This is the harp upon which the Guinness logo is based.
The harp is called The Brian Boru Harp and is from the 15th Century.
What the smaller library sections looked like.
After that it was off to find my record shop.
It wasn’t too far away.
I flipped through lots of records.
Afterwards it was lunch time.
My score.
Fred was with me for the walk.
Cutting back through the park and everyone was taking advantage of the good weather.
That night it was out for another customer event.
We headed to The Old Jameson Distillery.
We had rented the place out for the event.
It was a really cool place.
Nice chandelier.
We all did a tour of the distillery.
Which was very cool and informative.
Anyone want a drink?
At the end of the tour it was time for food and drinks.
We did a whiskey tasting.
And then settled in for dinner.
The food was really good.
I drank beer with dinner.
There was live entertainment, too.
The salmon was really good.
Dessert was also yummy.
Everyone taking pictures of the dancers.
We left the distillery…
And got on the bus…
Only to head back to the bar from the first night.
We all lined up…
And did an Irish car bomb.
From a Cute Hoor to a Galway Hooker.
The next day I went for a walk around the city, again.
This time I was headed for a bar.
The Bull & Castle it seems had a good selection of Irish craft beer.
So I was able to get something a little more unique.
It was a nice bar and I would recommend it to the beer drinkers.
Both Irish beers I had were really good.
Fred and I caught an Uber back to the hotel…
And then drank some beer in the hotel bar…
Before heading to the Guinness Brewery.
This was a night with everyone from the convention, not just our customers.
We had rented the top floor of the brewery.
And it was all the Guinness you could drink.
Yum!!!!
The food was a buffet.
I checked out the upstairs infinity bar.
I also learned how to pour the perfect pint.
It sucks that Budweiser is served at the Guinness Brewery.
Well that’s all from Dublin. A fun trip, but I was ready to go home.
