Arriving at the beach Wednesday night, and it was time for a beer (weird)…
And some fun taking a panoramic picture.
The next morning Kelli relaxed in bed…
While I headed over to Tom and Lori’s to start getting ready for Thanksgiving dinner.
Doesn’t my Tofurky look good?
Upstairs, Eddie had his own Turkey cooking.
And downstairs, Tom’s oven was looking good.
Kelli made it over for coloring time…
and to enjoy some seasonal beer.
We should have moved the candle.
Tom’s oven was getting quite full.
But the turkey was done and it was looking really good!!!
My Tofurky was done, too.
The girls made fun hats for us to wear while Tom and I cooked.
The feast was ready.
The various side dishes.
Slicing my Tofurky for Kelli and myself.
Looks good, right?
Even Daisy and Riley got some turkey.
Riley, always the good dog.
Our Thanksgiving family from the beach.
Dessert anyone?
Afterwards we went down to the beach so Tom could do some beerporn.
Footprints from racing Daisy (I won).
Some moonlight beerporn.
After a few beers, I was primed and ready to participate in the “Black Friday” spectacle with Tom (which now, thanks to time travel, takes place on Thursday).
Eddie was waiting in line for a TV, and I found him in the store and said hello. As a note, everyone around me was giving me dirty looks until I very loudly announced I was taking a picture and leaving.
There were lines EVERYWHERE in the store, with balloons marking the product line starting points.
Every hour items were ready to be sold.
Of course, I got caught up in the spirit of things and made a purchase that I had to go around back to pick up.
Tom and I both bought 65″ TVs for about $10 an inch.
I celebrated my black Friday deal with a beer when I got home.
The next morning, and Kelli is working on her Christmas cards, which I have censored so you can’t see what they look like yet.
From there it was off to Longboard Cafe for the best happy hour deal in town. 241526.
Ran into Robert’s old girlfriend, Christina.
Food was neat, too.
Next we went to JC’s Northside to See John play some music.
He was playing with Bryan Russo, and they sounded great.
The next morning we did something we don’t usually do, we went for a walk on the boardwalk.
Of course, we walked to Backshore Brewing.
Great local beer.
The next morning, we were up with the sun so we could head to a 5K.
It was a Sunday Turkey Trot.
I ran a personal record of 21:28…
And Kelli did well, too, with a time of 25:10.
I got first in my division, and she got third in hers.
On our way home we stopped at RAR brewing…
And watched the Raven’s game.
Next, we travelled to Blue Heron Christmas Tree Farm.
After everyone laughing at last year’s Charlie Brown tree, we found something taller.
I made short work of cutting down the tree.
I was bringing home the new TV, too, so the tree went on the roof.
It’s a long day when you’re watching the sun rise and set on the same day.
I had to cut the bottom of the tree to get it to fit in the room.
Looking good!!!
And that will end the Thanksgiving weekend. Going to bed!
Nice work in n the 21:28
Thanks!!
