It’s that time of the year again…
And Kelli is ready for her favorite holiday, Halloween.
I had plenty of candy on hand for the kids.
I got my station set up and ready to give out prizes and beers all night long.
The girls, however, were headed to Main Street Ellicott City for some daylight trick or treating.
I stayed home and put the beer on ice to get ready for everyone.
Trick or Beer!!!
Fun times were had on Main Street.
While I was waiting for them to come home, my neighbor Darin brought me beer!!!!!
Home and ready to go out trick or treating in the neighborhood.
I snuck inside and grabbed a slice of pizza.
Back outside, the kids were coming in droves for candy.
Peter stopped by in his costume and hung out for a while.
My parents stopped by, too.
Kelli took Ashley out for a few hours longer than Sophia. Look at that haul of candy!!
A Rubik’s Cube.
The next morning, I listened to some Saturday morning vinyl…
Took Riley outside for a photoshoot…
And then took Kelli to Virgina to see her friend Mike.
We had a Halloween party to go to that night in North Potomac, so instead of going home, we decided to go brewery hopping.
The first brewery was our favorite.
The bar was filled with jovial spirits.
There were plenty of beers on tap.
If you get a chance to check out 690 Brewing Company, I would highly recomend it.
We decided on splitting a sampler.
We left 690 Brewing and headed to…
Adroit Theory Brewing Company.
Cool doorway.
They were having a brew event that day, so we bought tickets to sample their beers.
The beers were just ok. They had beers from other breweries on tap, so we stuck mostly with those.
A list of what was available.
This hung on the wall, and I found it to be an interesting read.
They added a piece of candy corn to their Halloween Beer.
We left Adroit and headed 1 mile down the road to Corcoran Brewing Company.
They were located in a nondescript office building.
Again, we decided to go with a sampler, and we’re indicating which beers we tried.
The place had a nice, but small setup.
Their beers had a good drinkability to them.
After we left Corcoran, we headed to downtown Leesburg, VA.
We had heard that there is a brewery in the shadow of one of our favorite restaurants (Tuskies).
And sure enough, we found Crooked Run Brewing.
They only had four beers, and the place was REALLY tiny.
This was their brewing area.
We had one beer each (the owner slipped his motorcycle helmet into the picture).
We had heard multiple reports from other bar patrons during the day that if you want good pizza, you need to go to Fire Works.
They also have a great beer collection.
And I can attest, the pizza is worth the trip.
We were heading out of town to go to the Halloween party, when I spotted brewery #5 for the day.
The Beer Joint was to be our last brewery for the day.
The had a very upscale feeling to the place…
And we decided to have only one beer to share as we were running late.
The tap handles are kinda cool.
We finally made it to the Halloween party…
And it was a lot of fun.
Everyone was in their costumes and enjoying the night.
Sure, how about a jello shooter before calling it an end to a great Halloween.
