The early morning wait at the start line for the half-marathon begins with a photobomb from the Ulman Cancer Fund Vice-Chair, Christopher Sproule.

The course was a mix of trail running (through several farms) and paved surface running.

I ran right by Brian Shadrick’s house, so he joined me. My parents grabbed a picture of us when we ran by their street.

They also got a picture of the light-footed, Kelli.

Waiting for Kelli to cross the finish line, and celebrating my own pace with a beer with Tori.

Kelli finished just under 2 hours for 13.1 miles.

Some of these photos were courtesy of the Marriner family.

Medal around the neck, and the clock has yet to tick to 2 hours.

She did a post race interview for all the festival goers to hear.

A quick group shot of the three of us celebrating.

Turns out, Kelli won third place in her division.

A welcome, unexpected surprise.

After the race, we sat behind the beer tent and enjoyed relaxing with friends who had run the race.

The unofficial results. You can see I missed third place in my division by 56 seconds. UGH!!!

Afterwards, Kelli had a relaxing shower and a nap…

And I continued the party by making use of my new bottle opener!!! It was a great day, and I’m excited to run this race again next year.
Glad we got to see you all run. Congratulations to Kel for winning 3rd place!
