Heading to Seattle, and this is how I remembered where the car was parked.
The Orioles were still in the playoffs, so I thought I’d sport the colors while traveling.
I had a layover in Denver, and jumped off the plane to get a quick snack.
Then it was back to work while in the air.
Saying goodbye to Denver….
And hello to Seattle.
A quick ride from the airport to downtown…
And into my hotel.
My view.
The bathroom was tight, but not too bad.
I was staying at the one in the upper left.
My meeting wasn’t until the next day, so I decided to go for a walk around town.
I headed to the Farmers Market…
And then made my way down Pike’s Alley.
I was searching for two things, a brewery and license plates.
It seems I found the former…
After after a little more searching…
I found this store…
Which sold the latter.
After buying the plates, I headed back to the brewery for some beer.
The plates I bought on display with my beerporn.
I had dinner there, too, and it was really good.
My co-worker Russ meet up with me so we could talk about the meeting the next day.
On my way back to the hotel I stopped at Six Arms.
They brewed their own beer, so I had the Thundercone.
The next morning I grabbed breakfast at Macrina before heading to the meeting.
Walking to the car after the meeting I was able to catch a glimpse at the Space Needle.
I had nothing to do until I left the next morning, so I went to Elysian Brewery.
They have lots of great beers and I started with the Perfesser.
Letting Kelli know where I am.
The setup was small, but a good venue.
I had the fish tacos, and if you get the chance, try them. They were the BEST fish tacos I have ever had.
Time had come for Russ to go home, so I said goodbye to him…
And moved over to the bar area.
The Night Owl Pumpkin Ale was my favorite pumpkin ale this season.
I was trying to drink the beers on tap that aren’t available anywhere else, like this one.
My mother’s favorite beer, so I thought I’d have one.
When I sent her the picture of the beer, she this back to me. That is my mother and me when we lived in Seattle in the 1970’s.
I bought the grey hooded sweatshirt for Kelli.
I went back to the hotel and grabbed some dinner…
And then headed to the airport the next day to fly home.
Always the best feeling when you’re flying Southwest and a great way to end the trip.
