This trip for work had me heading to Boston, and again, I needed to remember where I parked.
Boston is less than an hour by plane from Baltimore, so it’s a really easy trip.
I had a really large hotel room…
With a nice bathroom, as well.
The meetings didn’t start until the next day, so I left the DoubleTree Hotel…
Walked through the Boston Commons…
Past the State House…
And down this street to…
Boston Beer Works.
They have lots of beer…
And brew a large portion of it on premise.
I had some food and beer. The shark bites are killer!!!
I ran into a staff member form the Red Socks, and he let me try on his World Series ring.
I bought some beer to take home with me, too.
I headed back to the hotel and had a beer before meeting with my co-workers…
And heading out for some dinner with them.
I love the juxtaposition of old and new in Boston.
Where the Boston bombings took place.
Being only a year old, people were still leaving momentos.
We had dinner at Atlantic Fish Co.
Dinner was really good!!
The next morning I walked from my hotel…
To the hotel where the convention was taking place and picked up my goodie bag.
I had time to kill, so I walked though Boston Commons again…
Stopped to take this funny picture.
Then headed North…
Across the bridge…
Into Cambridge…
And over to Cambridge Brewing Company.
The walk took about 45 minutes, and I was happy to have a well earned beer.
The beer is brewed on premise…
And there is a small bar area.
There was quite a beer selection, so I grabbed a few beers to bring home with me.
I met some new friends at the bar, and we walked a few blocks to Artwood’s.
Artwood’s had a good beer collection, and I went for a sour.
It’s better than drinking alone.
I was running late, so I grabbed an Uber to get back to Boston.
Passing by where Paul Revere and Mother Goose are buried.
The night was a wine and dine for our customers. We took them to the Cheers bar in Boston.
Before being on TV, it was called the Bull & Finch Pub.
When we finished dinner…
We headed down the street…
Across Boston Commons…
And to a Karaoke bar.
Lots of drinking and singing ensued.
The next day, I had time before any meetings, so I went for a walk around Boston.
There were churches…
Everywhere.
I decided I had enough time to head out to Harvard, so I took the “T”…
From downtown Boston…
To Harvard.
I had never been to Harvard before, and it was nice to finally see what it was like.
Of course, my real reason for coming was to visit John Havard’s Brewery and Ale House.
The beer here was really good.
Everything is brewed on premise.
After a few beers, I walked briefly through the Harvard campus…
And then headed back to the meeting for a night out with my customers again.
I like to try and find beers I’ve never had before.
We shot some pool…
And had more beer…
Before the Port25 crew called it and decided to go someplace else.
We met up with some of our customers…
Grabbed an Uber…
And headed to a swanky bar across town.
The place was very non-descript…
But had the best drinks in the city. Honestly, I’ve never had such good drinks.
Time had come the next morning for me to head out of town, So I snapped this picture of the Boston tea party boat heading to the airport and said goodbye to Boston.
