Kelli, Riley, and I headed to the beach for a fun filled Ravens Roost weekend.
We were late getting down on a Thursday night due to heavy traffic…
But that made us all the more ready to drink!!
We met up with Kristi’s ex-boyfriend, Steve.
From there it was over to Coconut’s to meet up with our roost.
The party was in full effect when we arrived.
The schedule for the weekend.
Every year the statue gets dressed in Ravens garb.
The next day I had to work, and Kelli relaxed (with Riley, of course).
But it was a beautiful day outside…
So after work we headed back to Coconuts.
I was in the horseshoe tournament (left side, seventh from bottom).
Steve stopped by our hospitality suite to say hello.
There was a food tent, so I checked in…
And grabbed some grub.
I made due with a make-shift veggie plate.
Purple shots were passed around for everyone.
A healthy marriage.
There was live music to get us through the evening.
It’s always fun to drink with friends.
Our roost was spilling over into the next porch.
We did some more shots (yes, I was hungover the next day).
Kelli loved her shirt.
Roost #4!!
Not being done drinking after leaving, we headed back to the condo for the night to have some more beer.
I think he made this his profile picture on Facebook.
Fireworks started going off at Coconuts, and while we couldn’t see them directly…
We could see their reflection in the windows.
Late night eats, and yes, we do actually use the oven at the beach.
The next morning, with a little bit of a hangover, it was time for the parade.
Our Roost had former Ravens player and Super Bowl champion Duane Starks riding with us.
Check out the ring bling.
The parade had started, and we all wore Beatles wigs…
Because we were celebrating “The Fab Four of Baltimore”.
The football team names for those who don’t known (NFL, CFL, USFL, NFL, respectively).
Like our hair?
Passing in front of the judges stand.
Duane signed our poster after the parade…
And then joined us for a picture. Find Kelli.
After the parade we headed to Buxy’s Salty Dog for drinks.
This was the start of a mini bar crawl.
Mmm, Beer.
I liked the fact that the poster had a Baltimore Bullets (aka, Washington Wizards) flag.
We had drinks at the Pit & Pub…
And then headed to Mother’s and Coins for more.
Doesn’t Cindy look like their son?
We saw some crabs on the walk back.
Kelli doing the Abbey Road Beatles thing when crossing the street.
I left Kelli at Anthony’s Bar because I had to go play horseshoes.
When I arrived, the match had already started (I was 20 minutes early, but it started 25 minutes early).
The cheering section during the losing match.
From the Baltimore Sports Museum.
Another Baltimore Super Bowl ring, this one for the Colts.
I got to wear this one, however.
Back in the hospitality suite there was plenty of food to munch on.
Some of the Ravens cheerleaders (men and women) stopped by to say hello.
While I was playing horseshoes, Kelli made her way to Fish Tales for some drinks.
I arrived just in time for shots.
Fun times in the sun!!
Her friends gave us a ride home.
The next morning we needed some breakfast…
So we headed to Barn 34, which in this picture was not yet built.
Breakfast was REALLY good, and I would recommend trying it out if you are in OC.
We started to head home…
But stopped before Salisbury, MD at Tall Tales Brewing Company.
It was our first time there, and they had an outback patio that was pet friendly.
So Riley joined us while we had some drinks…
And pizza to finish out the weekend.
