The start of Winter 2014 is actually 32 minutes early.
We went to Miss Shirley’s Cafe at the harbor for our annual Christmas brunch….
…but by the time we finished…
It was Winter time (the winter solstace had passed).
We checked out the Bavarian Christmas Village next. Looks like we’re two (or too) short.
Mitch and Cindy have a brick at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore.
It was a good day.
Kelli and Riley took a nap when we got home.
At a Can’t Hang show one evening.
Getting close to Christmas and we headed to Kristi’s for a Ravens Game.
The feast of seven fishes at Aida Bistro.
Riley loves to lay on my lap when I play video games.
Out at the mall, and we stopped in Duclaw for a beer.
In my quest to get 250 unique beers at Victoria Gastro Pub I did a lot of drinking.
Of course, that led to this problem…
Which was solved by drinking lots of water.
Cards with the tards.
How do you catch a mouse? Put him near a Yeti.
We caught a mouse in our house, so I drove him a mile away and set him free.
More beer…
This time while having lunch with my parents.
In Baltimore one night for a fun event at Power Plant Live.
We were down in Baltimore to see the event with the Hoopers.
Afterwards we had some drinks at the piano bar.
Every beer was one step closer to 250.
Mary and Kelli said hello…
While at T-Bonz to see Fiction 20 Down.
I hit a stretch of drinking 5-6 beers a day for 12 days straight.
Kelli was always waiting for me when I got home.
So was Riley.
Check out this spider I found on my Christmas tree.
New Years day…
And I walked to VGP for some more beers.
We had a lot of snow this particular winter.
It seemed to never end.
But it was nice being warm in the house.
I love driving in the snow.
A winter wonderland…
When we took Riley for a walk.
Because not all pictures should be the same.
Almost to beer 250…
And I finally made it!!!!
For 250 I had DeuS Brut des Flandres and we all enjoyed drinking it together.
750ml bottle. Perfect for sharing.
That is where my name will go on the plaque.
Two nights later Bob made the last spot on the first 250 plaque.
I don’t always do boring food for lunch.
Peter Edelen’s Birthday party.
Jenny made him a fun cake!!!
Star Wars themed.
BFFs.
Not as much drinking after I hit 250, but I still like good beerporn.
A Saturday night in Ellicott City.
We walked from Casey’s house to get dinner…
And then walked back up to her house…
And had a feast.
How would YOU sit in her dining room?
One last picture of us for that night.
I always like to use a logo-ed glass if I can.
It was a night of drinking with Joe and his girl, Donna.
This…this is why I drank all that beer.
Relaxing in the library.
Jillian was showing me her new pants…
And then she showed me the dress she designed all by herself.
Family fun times!!!!
Football time!!!!
Check out that sunset!!!
A couple of bottles Dave and I shared.
Oh look, more snow.
I liked going for walks in the snow.
Aunt Kel and Amber, a fun pair.
Taylor on the Xbox…
And we were there to see the new dog, Hope.
My brother loves good beer, too.
At night in Baltimore for a cancer event.
We went with the Marriners.
The night was a lot of fun…
Good times were had by all!
Dinner was really nice and afterwards we did the silent auction.
Kelli hanging out with Howard County Executive, and hopeful future Maryland Lt. Governer, Ken Ulman.
We ran into high school friend Maura.
It was truly a really fun night.
The next morning and we were finally able to attend the yearly Pints and Pancakes event at T-Bonz.
Live music was included. Worth going.
Watching the watcher.
Joe and I spinning some vinyl one afternoon.
Three yummy beers.
An evening at the 9:30 club in Baltimore to see…
Brandon Boyd…
Of Incubus fame.
A KILLER show (for Kelli).
Where the mall shooting took place.
Chris sporting his juggling skills.
Ashley singing at a school concert.
Your typical Monday night.
Pawn Stars, I don’t think it was the Baltimore Ravens at the time.
Time for the Super bowl…
And there is an interesting fact for you.
Might as well have some beer while watching the game.
Oh man, I came home from the Super Bowl to a flooded basement. There was a double sump pump failure.
An old picture of me posted by my Aunt.
A new picture of me posted by me.
Tired of snow, how about ice?
Out to dinner at Iron Bridge for some romance.
I went to Annapolis one night…
To see the Mars 4-Tet.
Hey, my name is finally on the plaque!!!!!
So happy to be done with that quest. Now, on to trying for the 500 level plaque.
Riley is always happy to be a bum with you.
Out to North County High School to see…
Savannah in the regional cheerleading championship.
Dave sporting a shirt from his sister’s business.
Afterwards they came back to the house and hung out for a while and we played with the camera…
And did portraits…
Of everyone.
That night Kelli and I headed to Savage, MD…
To see Fiction 20 down.
Our mushroom crop this year wasn’t that big.
At Kelli’s mom’s house, and this old picture of Kristi was laying out.
How about some more snow?
It was getting to be a real pain having to shovel the driveway all winter.
But at least it looked pretty…
And made for fun driving.
A Valentine’s day bath bomb Kelli got me.
And the Valentine’s Day dinner I got her.
Taylor loves playing video games.
And Amber loves using her little cup to get water.
When not on the Xbox, he uses his phone.
And Erin always makes me a great meal to eat.
Riley, ready for a nap anytime.
Another great dinner at Aida Bistro.
Out in Baltimore one evening…
to Joe Squared for pizza!!!!
Cool city graffiti.
At my brother’s again…
And Amber took her Jeep for a spin.
How about a seaweed beer?
She had no idea it was supposed to start snowing when she ran that morning.
Another night at VGP, this time for a beer dinner.
Someone from Firestone was there to talk about the beers…
Of which we had many.
It was a good night…
With lots of food.
Back at Peter and Megan’s, and Jillian has found a comfortable spot to sit.
My car needed some work done after 235,000+ miles…
And while I was at Robert’s shop I got to see his daughters Aubrey and Ellie for the first time.
I would rather continue to fix my car then get a new one.
Fun times at my parent’s house.
Kelli and I went to Baldwin Station one night, but they were closing (at 9pm on a Friday)…
So we headed to Victoria Gastro Pub for a drink instead.
Bird watching during the day…
…and Flemings at night.
Critter watching at night.
A running joke in the family.
The chili contest at Ellicott Mills Brewing Company.
There were so many chili entries.
And lots of old friends.
Heading to San Francisco, and I flew over my house.
Yes, yes they are.
The hotel in which I stayed…
And my room…
And bathroom…
I was hungry, so I tried to find a place to eat…
But many looked like this…
So I headed to a better area and found this oasis.
So many beers from which to choose.
And this is what I got.
Well, a beer and a pizza.
Lunch during the customer meeting was at a crêpe restaurant. It was really good.
After the meeting it was back to the Brewery for more beer and food.
Somewhere down there is my Uncle’s house.
Out for a ride with Ashley…
And we found some cool trails near her house.
Must be St. Patrick’s day.
VGP seemed like a good place to celebrate.
Ryan and Justin from Jailbreak Brewing were there to say hi.
Um, that is my hat.
Not exactly St. Patty’s day fodder, but it was really good.
Well that is about it for winter.
I made a trip over to my brother’s house to see his new furnace…
That he got just in time for winter to end.
