Kelli and I won a silent auction to go on a brew bus tour to Pennsylvania.
The bus left at 8am, and as you can see, we were already drinking.
It was early, and everyone was ready to go!!
Breakfast for me.
Our first stop was Gunpowder Falls Brewing.
They had a nice tasting area…
And while there was beer ready to go…
Martin Virga wanted to preach to us about bad beer laws before we could drink.
I couldn’t have chosen a better shirt to wear for my picture with him.
The beer was not too bad.
We hung around and had a few…
And then it was back on the bus to head to the next brewery.
Our next stop was Mudhook Brewing in York, PA.
I asked this owner Jeff Lau for a quick picture before he started talking, but he had no interest.
The beers he had on tap.
Everyone got to drink while listening to the owner talk this time.
Personally, I hated all the beers. They were average home brew quality at best.
Need a breathalyzer?
Nope, I brought my own that day.
Next door was a great market that we checked out.
Comic Sans on an ATM. What has the world come to?
Lunch was served when we got back, and the veggie burger was good, but plain.
Not wanting to drink anymore Mudhook beers…
We headed around the corner to another bar.
Wow, what a selection!!!
Looks like we weren’t the only ones from the bus tour to make the walk.
The bar was mostly empty…
But it was the middle of the day.
They had a great cooler system for keeping the beer fresh right behind the taps.
It was time to move on, so we headed back to the bus…
And we arrived just before everyone leaving from Mudhook.
Our next stop was Hershey, PA.
Home of Tröegs Brewery.
We met up with some friends from a previous Brewcation.
While we were standing around…
We realized the brewery was handing out our sample beer trays.
I took mine and was ready to start tasting.
Mmmm, beer.
Their sour beer could only be purchased and drunk AT the brewery.
We can’t ever have enough Troegs in our lives!
Some of the bus tour beer drunks I talked to before heading into the self-guided tour.
That’s a lot of beer!!!!
Plenty of interesting facts to read while looking at the brewery.
The store, and the prices for goods.
A recreation of our last Brewcation photo, with more people!!
Tori was deciding to take a nap after 8-9 hours of drinking, but when I started to take her picture she popped back up.
Last stop of the day was Saint Boniface Craft Brewing Co.
The beers they had on tap.
The place was in a small, quiet town, and we overran the bar when the bus unloaded.
They had an easy access sample table setup for everyone.
Kelli and I sat with some of the locals and enjoyed their home town beer and conversation.
Back on the bus for the final drive home, people were passing out like flies.
But it was back to Maryland after a long day of drinking.
This was our haul from the trip. Not too bad.
