Heading to San Francisco and Kelli dropped me off at the airport.
Flying across the country can make for some great sights.
My hotel room.
I left my hotel and decided to go for a walk.
Dodging the trolley, I headed into town.
A local landmark.
I was headed to The Stinking Rose to buy garlic olive oil for Kelli.
From there it was out to dinner for a work function.
Dinner that night was really good!!
This was the group of customers I was entertaining that night.
The next morning and it was breakfast time at the hotel.
The menu.
And I was served a delicious meal, the wild mushroom omelet.
I went and picked up my registration information for the event, and this was some free stuff that was given to me.
Again, with time before activities started, I headed out by foot into town.
I was on a mission to walk several miles to Golden Gate Park.
Best street name ever.
On my way I passed this famous location.
Do you remember it now?
45 minutes and about 2.5 miles later I made it to the park.
Now I needed to find a spot from which I could see the Golden Gate Bridge.
Behind the conservatory…
I found that spot. You can barely see the bridge.
Phuket.
After my long walk, it was time for some lunch…
Why not a beer to go with lunch?
Fresh fish, yummy!!
I had to take a conference call, and while I was on the phone, the hummingbird in the center of the picture was flying around me.
Later it was customer time again so I met up with Russ and we headed to the Press Club for some drinks.
Would you expect me to drink anything else?
From the bar we went to a party thrown by MailChimp.
Check out the fun hat they were giving everyone.
Slipping in some beerporn for the customer photo.
I wasn’t the only one wearing a hat that night.
The Port25 guys.
Another customer meeting, and this was taken as we left the bar (what better place to meet).
More time on my hands, so I went for a walk down to the water.
It seems lots of people take a ferry to work everyday.
The Oakland Bridge.
I had just enough time to get from the water…
Back to the kickoff of my company’s night of taking out our customers.
We piled our customers onto a bus…
And headed to Chambers.
Everyone was ready to eat…
And the food was really good.
Having fun with one of our customers.
The place was really swanky…
And had TONS of vinyl records everywhere.
From there it was back on the bus…
And out to a bar.
The custom drink menu.
Everyone had a fun time.
The next night was a general night out for everyone at the event (not just our customers).
We were taken to a park that had lots of food trucks.
SoMa StrEat Food Park.
It was a nice relaxing evening and a fun way to end the trip.
In case you ever want to go.
I said good bye to my co-worker Fred and went to bed early so I could deal with the TSA in the morning.
Remember that garlic olive oil I bought Kelli?
The TSA made me pour out half because I was over the amount of fluid ounces I could carry on the plane. Oh well, at least I got to take some home!!
