Thanksgiving weekend started with a trip to Victoria Gastro Pub.
What would a trip to VGP be without some beerporn.
Kelli and Tori got up to dance….
…and groove to the tunes of Ted Garber.
The morning of Thanksgiving Kelli and I got up and went for a run at Lake Elkhorn.
The race was sponsored by Dennis’ gym.
From there we got cleaned up and headed to Peter and Megan’s house.
Lots of family and friends were present.
From there we headed to Baltimore for dinner and a Ravens game. This is Kristi modeling one of Kelli’s options for keeping warm.
We were on our way for a night in the city.
There were plenty of people setting up for tailgating…
But we hopped in a cab…
And headed to Wit & Wisdom at the Four Seasons for dinner.
The meal was a 3 course prix fixe.
The truffle mac & cheese in the middle was divine.
I made the wrong choice going with the cheese plate for dessert.
After dinner…
We hopped in a cab…
And headed to Federal Hill for a few pre-game drinks.
After that we changed into our cold weather gear for the night…
And headed to the stadium.
See, other people were wearing the one piece suits, too.
Kelli opted not to wear the suit and was cold.
The stadium was well packed…
And we were happy to beat the Steelers.
Friday came, and Kelli and I did nothing but lay around all day watching TV. (we did go out for a drink at Cafe de Paris, but only for an hour)
Saturday was more eventful and started with a trip to the movies to see Catching Fire.
After the movie we headed to the Columbia Mall for some shopping.
Kelli was trying to find a few things in her purse while we were there.
When we got home, I needed to get some stuff ready for a donation to Johns Hopkins Children’s Hospital.
Once that was done, it was time to start decorating the house for Christmas.
Here is the donation after it had been cataloged and organized.
In celebration of getting our chores done, we went out for a few drinks with Beth.
Sunday had arrived and it was Christmas tree time.
The tree farm had lots of trees…
But it was the Blue Spruce we were after.
We found a tree that would fit well in our room…
And cut it down to take home. (no hand saw for me, cordless saw is the way to go).
A funny sign as we were leaving.
I got the tree setup…
And then we added lights and ornaments.
All done!!!!
To finish off the weekend, we got new fish for our tank. The sucker fish has his work cut out for him to clean all the algae!!!
