Heading into Ocean City for the weekend and the drawbridge went up, delaying our entrance.
So we waited in the car for about 10-15 minutes before making our way to the condo.
It was the day of our anniversary, so we had to leave right away to go out for the night. Our first stop for a few drinks, Lighthouse Sound.
Ranked the 82nd best golf course in the US.
From there it was on to The Grove Market for dinner.
This is a really small place…
With only about 6 tables.
Dinner was really good!!!
Kelli ranks her tuna from that night as top 3 she has ever had.
Key lime for dessert.
I guess this is what 12 years of marriage looks like.
The next morning we caught Ava, Lori, and Tom heading out for their morning bike ride.
Kelli and I tested Skype on the phones, and it works really well.
We spent the morning laying around being bums.
And then headed out to the beach to be bums there.
It was a little cold for August…
But we made do just fine.
We’ve only been on 34th street 11 years. They said they’d let us borrow their sign when we get to 50.
Flowers for Kelli.
The police were hanging around, so I made sure to spy on them.
I was keeping an eye on the lifeguard and trying to learn semaphore.
What would a beach weekend be without some beerporn.
The people above me seem to think that over-the-balcony is a good place to throw their cigarette butts.
More beerporn.
Tom can open a bottle with his teeth.
I don’t advise doing this at home…
But he seems to be OK with it.
Relaxing before heading out for the night.
Standing in Maralyn’s yard looking at my condo.
We headed out to see Eastern Electric.
They sounded great!!!
And we all had a good time.
The next day we headed to Assateague Island.
I wanted to see the ponies…
And drive on the beach.
There were a few herds of horses.
These horses were just standing and staring at the ocean.
We found a place to stop and hopped out for a walk.
That is my car in the background. we were about 10 miles down the beach from the entrance.
A nice walk with my island bride.
Care for a virtual walk with Riley on the beach?
Riley was getting tired from all the walking…
So we headed to one of our favorite places for a drink.
Back at the condo, Kelli informed Tom, Lori, and me that this shell is called a canoe…
Because it floats in water and has what looks like a little seat.
We were having a bubble gum blowing competition.
Ava, taking pictures…
Of her two dogs.
Kelli and I headed out to BJ’s for dinner that night and enjoyed the music of Tranzfusion.
Sunday had come, and we left town under the cover of rain.
But we decided to head to Baltimore for a few drinks at The Brewer’s Art.
Downtown Baltimore is a fun time.
To end the weekend, I wrote Kelli a poem.
