For my birthday Kelli and I headed to the beach for a weekend of fun with our Ravens Roost.
Even the statues were feeling festive.
Playing with some of the things I can do with my new Windows phone.
Yeah, it was a beautiful day.
What beer to buy for the weekend?
My neighbor, Tom, was replacing his deck.
Out first full day, and we headed to Coconuts to catch Darin playing music.
I wasn’t there long before I came home for a little while.
I’ve never seen anyone laying out on that side of the dune before.
After Jack and I had hung out for a while, we were heading back to Coconuts when we ran into these clowns.
Kristi with her Playboy bunny sunburn.
Tom’s deck, looking good.
Kristi wasn’t the only one who got sunburned.
We decided it was time to purge the unused items from the condo.
That night we headed out to see The Galaxy Collective.
Kristi made the trip, too.
They were great, as always.
DJ Bigler was on hand for the event.
Kelli got her funk on…
And after the show we headed home for the night.
We stopped by the Ravens Roost hospitality suite and were greeted with a full moon.
The next morning we joined our Roost in the parade for all the Roosts.
Our theme was “City of Champions”.
Who doesn’t love a parade?
A quick photo at the end of the parade…
And then off for some drinks at Buxy’s Salty Dog. Make sure to check out the back of the shirts.
Inside, we took over the bar.
From there it was across the street to the 28th Street Pit and Pub.
Later it was out to the beach for the volleyball tournament.
I was on the team again this year…
And Kelli joined for a few sets, too.
While we didn’t win our game, I still felt like a winner.
Ed Dickson stopped by, and Kelli posed with him for a picture.
Meanwhile, things were getting crazy in the hospitality suite.
Anyone lose an earring?
Kristi took a minute and posed with Arthur Jones.
There was plenty of live music to enjoy.
Ed Dickson raising the Lombardi Trophy for the crowd to go wild about. Notice the markings on the bottom of the trophy?
Back at my condo, it was beerporn time.
She needs to use a better SPF lotion.
A belt buckle to match the beer.
The last night of the roost convention and we said goodbye to everyone.
We, however, did not leave the beach.
Laurier came and picked us up and took us out to the beach in DE.
With a pass, you’re allowed to drive out on the beach.
It really is a nice time.
My first attempt at a panoramic picture using my phone.
We saw a kite surfer.
I got this great video. Check out the HUGE jump at 1:20.
It’s pictures like this that make me love the camera on my Nokia Lumia 928 Windows phone.
Beach bum beerporn.
When we left the beach we stopped at this bar on the way home.
It was hard to spot from the road, but worth checking out.
Once we were home, it was time to call a taxi to head out for the night.
We headed down to M.R. Ducks…
And met up with Laurier and Joy, again…
To see the band Hot Sauce Sandwich.
Kelli liked this photo so much she used it as her Facebook profile picture.
Identify the men.
The night was great and everyone was having a good time.
I love this picture of Kelli, but she prob hates it.
The picture I used for my facebook Profile. As a note, Sonny is one of the only people ever to be in my profile picture.
Brenda, who runs the http://www.coconuttimes.com/. Kelli wanted her picture taken for the paper.
Here is the picture she took. http://www.coconuttimes.com/oc-md-photo-gallery/June-7-2013/page-28-37/images
From M.R. Ducks we walked over to the Angler to see Sonny and Nate play.
Kelli, sharing the love.
I think she was burping in his ear.
After that show, we walked out to the boardwalk…
And enjoyed the quintessential boardwalk experience…
Thrasher’s french fries.
We decided to sit and enjoy the fries.
The next day we headed home to have dinner at The Oregon Grille.
I blew out my birthday candle in the finale of my excellent birthday weekend!!!
