Heading to the beach for another guys weekend during the NFL draft.
Peter E. was already there with his dog, Wedge.
When Joe arrived, he brought the kraken with him.
Let the weekend begin!!!
Joe brought his own coaster.
Wedge, on patrol.
What would a guys weekend be without heavy drinking.
My guess, is that they were Steelers fans…That or Peter was hitting on the woman.
Group shot on the exit.
When you’re not drunk enough, time to head to the Cantina.
I stayed in bed until about 11am the next day with a hangover.
Welcome to Ocean City!!!
Peter was already asleep…
As was the other Peter, but Wedge was awake.
More drinks, that sounds like a good idea.
With the hangover wearing off…
I decided to move around a little.
Later, Peter and Wedge took a nap.
It was time to start the inaugural mini masters.
4 putt-putt courses over the course of 3 days.
The winner is the one with the lowest total score at the end of the 4 rounds.
This, by far, was our least favorite course.
The carpet had just been changed, and was really slow.
Later that night it was time to go out drinking.
It was the start of the NFL draft…
So we headed to Fish Tales.
Currently taking applications for a Cincinnati Bengals fan to round out the AFC North.
Drinking shots…
Leads to lots of fun!!!
Peter letting us know the Ravens are number one.
Peter seems to be taking a lot of pictures of the pictures.
See what I mean.
As a light rain began to fall, we headed home with our fresh supplies.
Not that late…
But we ordered food on the way home, and it was delivered 10 minutes after we arrived.
The draft this year really sucked, which is why we finished watching it from the condo instead of the bar.
The next day Peter W., Joe, and I headed to the boardwalk.
We were in search of a trophy for our mini masters…
And I had a good feeling we’d find it in a souvenir store. We went with the item on the left.
After the purchase, we walked to the end of the boardwalk….
And then to a bar around the corner.
It was then back down the boardwalk…
And into The Bearded Clam for some drinks.
A game of pool.
Nice glass.
The score card from the first round.
This is the putt-putt course we selected for round 2.
The medieval theme was fun, and the course had a few interesting holes.
In general, we all did really well and the point spread was never too great between us.
When I think Medieval, I think bright colorful castles.
Last hole….
And then it was eat and drink time.
The moon rising…
Over the ocean.
The score card from round 2.
On our way to round 3.
We were to play 2 rounds this day.
So we made it through the first round of the day….
And then headed off for some food and drink.
The score card for round 3.
A picture sent to my cousin, Robert.
Lots of yummy food…
And then out for the final round.
The place had two courses, so we chose the volcano course.
In the end it was really close…
With this final score card the totals were Joe 208 – Scott 210 – Peter W. 215 – Peter E. 230.
Joe beat me by 2 strokes (0.5 strokes per course) taking the inaugural mini masters title, affectionality dubbed “The Woody”.
Time to celebrate with a beer.
It’s hard to see, but that is a bird plunging into the water after a fish.
Time to head out for our last night in town.
We needed to get our sushi fix on.
Oh yeah!!!!
Lots…
and lots of sushi.
What kind of a trip would it be if I didn’t drag them to a bar to see a band I love.
I have no idea what was going on, but I figured I’d take a picture of it.
Whatever.
She asked me to dance, so I obliged.
The Galaxy Collective, the band we came to see.
Even they’re into doing shots.
Well that about sums up the drinking for the weekend.
And Wedge really wasn’t too bad.
So with the beds made…
And everyone tucking in, we said goodnight.
The next morning it was a quick pack and then out the door to go home.
