The day started early for us, we left for Sandy Point State Park at 6am.
We were some of the first to arrive in the pre-dawn hours.
Of course, that didn’t stop us from getting to the drinking just after 7am.
The event is an alcohol-free event, unless you are with a Ravens Roost.
The beach was fresh with snow, but within hours, it would be a sea of bathing suit clad people.
The blue wrist band indicates we were part of the group doing the plunge.

It was really cold, and the ladies mostly stayed inside the RV.

By later in the morning, the lot was filling up nicely. Many roosts charted buses for the event.
The time had come for us to don our bathing suits and head to the beach.
Remember, it is not safe to plunge if you have consumed alcohol.
