Summer started with a trip to Tio Pepe in Baltimore.
It was family night for us…
And good times were had by all.
The next day was spent at my brother’s house, with Amber dancing in the rain.
Later we had crabs…
And discussed Mathew’s first grey hair.
Erin has become a Dance Central Queen.
Dinner out with Kelli, and I couldn’t resist a #beerporn shot.
Kristi had a yard sale, and I laid down in the shade only to have Ashley use me as a seat.
Just like Riley would sit.
Lots of kids stuff for sale, but most of it went to Goodwill.
Kelli and I went for a mountain bike ride. She is just getting into offroad biking.
Not the one in Rehoboth Beach…
But rather the one in Gaithersburg, MD.
We love Dogfish Head…
And it’s nice to have one so close (45 mintues).
Playing Scrabble on the deck, and Riley was just too tired.
I love brewing beer!!!
And drinking it, too!!! Poolside at Brian Shadrick’s house.
Out with Erin and Mathew, and Mathew is letting you know we are number one!!
The Raven. As a Ravens fan I had to try this beer. Not too bad.
A NSFW deck of cards showing lots of sex poses.
Teaching Sophia how to ride a bike.
The steering was the hard part.
Fun run time…
Brian and Erin both ran the race.
I like spiders, but this would freak out a lot of people I know.
There was lots of beer brewing over the Summer. At one point I had 20-30 gallons either on tap or fermenting.
Taken with the camera on my phone. I can’t believe it let me get this close.
Kelli took me to see Roger Waters at the Verizon Center in DC.
It was a great show!!!!
During the show they built a wall out of big bricks on the stage…
It was quite the experience.
Amber’s new haircut.
Erin makes me dinner all the time.
The Ravens Roost Kelli and I are members of had a golf outing for charity.
I didn’t play golf that day….
But I did drive around on a golf cart and take pictures of the event all day.
Out to dinner with my parents…
And it was a BYOB place, so I brought my Blackberry Ale homebrew.
Beer floats, ha. They must have read the Indy Beers article.
This is the point where I had both kegs full…
And all my buckets full of beer, too.
Sophia is just falling apart these days.
I’ve gotten Peter into brewing beer…
And he brewed this batch at his house using his own equipment.
Pitching the yeast. Time to convert the sugars to alcohol.
Now this is some good #beerporn. Crabs in the Summer is a Maryland tradition.
Riley and Layla “play” together.
Erin’s father was in town visiting.
What a great beer!!!
We had a fruit fly problem…
So I put some beer in the bottom of this glass…
And an hour later it was working.
Peter and Megan watch the Porter’s dogs…
And I hung out for dinner.
This was 6 hours later. It took about 2 days to get them all.
The excitement of the monthly Ravens Roost #4 meeting.
Kelli and I took Beatrice and Bridgett to Vans Warped Tour. See the Album “Vans Warped Tour 2012” for those pictures.
After a day at Van’s Warped tour, Kelli and I bumped into Bill Walker while having a beer.
Afterwards we took the girls home and hung out with Peter and Megan.
Getting bored with all the #beerporn yet?
Amber trying on Aunt Kel’s glasses.
Ravens Roost #4 had a pool party…
Everyone brought a dish…
But there was plenty of grilled food, too.
The Roost 4 logo.
It was a great day for relaxing in the pool.
There were also races for shots!!!
Kelli did really well!!!
As did I.
Ladies, contain yourselves.
Kelli and I went to a concert at Jiffy Lube Live and ran into Jeff Darden.
We were there to see Slightly Stoopid.
What a crappy beer selection.
311 was the main act, but they really sucked.
This was taken so I could tell Amber I heard her song live. Aunt Kel says at the end, “Amber, this is for you.”
I hate this venue.
Kelli and I went to Tersiguel’s for a couple drinks.
Kristi meet with me at the brew pub for a few drinks another night.
IPA day, and I had a Randalled IPA at Dogfish Head.
We were are the beach for the weekend having fun.
Time to trim the eyebrows.
Later that night we headed out to…
Burley Oak Brewing.
We were there to see the Electric Company play.
And I met with the owner Bryan Brushmiller and grabbed a growler of beer.
The next day it was down to the boardwalk to see Coastal Vibrations play.
Good Times, for sure!!
Kelli hanging with Mary on the boards.
Now that, is some good looking #beerporn.
Got Dale’s?
Chris and I drinking the Rude Boy from Burley Oak.
It was then off to Merriweather Post Pavillion to see Rebelution.
We went with Chris and Lindsay.
Kelli ran into her bud, Tori.
In the heat of the Summer.
We stayed and watched the main act OAR, and then headed home.
The next day we went to Uno’s with Kristi and Bobcat.
For our 11th Anniversary we went to Hawaii. See the album “11th Anniversary – Hawaii” for those pictures.
Sophia tries on the hula outfit we bought her in Hawaii.
Kristi loves Lavaflows…
So I got her one when we were out for her birthday.
Later that night we all hung out and had a few drinks…
And then sang her happy birthday!!!!
The children line up to talk to Aunt Kel.
Kelli plays wih Mathew and Erin’s new cat, Angel.
A picture of Riley from before he was our dog. He is about 4 months old in this picture.
Kelli and I went to an Orioles game.
The Cal Ripken statue had recently been unveiled.
We had great seats…
And a great time.
One night we drove to Philadelphia for a Ballyhoo! show.
They were the opening act for Tribal Seeds.
The show was a lot of fun…
And we got to hang out with the band afterwards.
Kelli has a thing for Howi.
Trying to get these two out of the car to go to the wine festival…
But they were on their own schedule.
The Maryland Wine Festival was going on…
And we were pouring wine.
We always have so much fun.
Afterwards we stopped off for some steamed crabs.
OH YEAH!!!
Got Monte?
Kelli and I spent an evening at Sue and Q’s 19th Annual Psychedelic Shindig.
They’re always great hosts!!!
And the music by Herb and Hanson is bluegrass heaven.
The next morning we ran the Fort McHenry Tunnel 5K Run. It’s the one run we have done every year since the inaugural year.
Hanging out with my co-worker Avinash…
At a Ravens Roost #4 gathering at Jilly’s to watch the Ravens play.
I love these things!!!
Kelli brought home crabs one night, and they’re probably the last of the season.
For the end of Summer, we took Ashley to see a movie.
We had a great time, and I hope you enjoyed this year’s Summer pictures!!!
