Vans Warped Tour came to town, and I took Kelli, Bridget, and Beatrice.
We met some friends at the show…
And what a show it was, I’m counting 122 bands on that list.
Beatrice found not one…
But two skateboarding friends that day to chat with.
At the time I was at the ramp, there wasn’t too much action.
I was able to see 5 bands that day, including these guys, “The Green”.
Beatrice was enjoying the relaxing summer air.
Next up was Tomorrow’s Bad Seeds.
The first three bands we were seeing had flyers on the bathrooms.
We were texting each other saying where are you, because we’re right next to the sound board. Turns out we were around the corner and five feet from each other.
The band I really wanted to see that day, Echo Movement.
Kelli had a good time all day listening to music and meeting bands.
I had a press pass for the day, so I was wearing all my camera gear.
Kelli and one of her Melting Pot buddies.
Me with Echo Movement after the show.
Stuck drinking watered down InBev beer, Bud Light.
Find Kelli.
By the time Ballyhoo! came on, the crowd had really gotten thick and was having a great time.
After the show, Keyboardist Scott showed me the set list.
The rock star life of Ballyhoo!
Kelli wanted her picture taken with the band.
The things you find funny when you’re a teenager.
There wasn’t just music at the event, there was plenty of other things to see and do.
Of course, there were things to buy, as well.
Family portrait time!!
The last band of the day, and the one on the main stage, was All Time Low.
The pavilion was packed!!
The lawn was about 25%-50% capcity.
We, however, were leaving for the day.
Check out our dirty feet after walking around all day.
We ended the day by going to a bar and getting a great craft beer to drink while Bridget and Bea went shopping!!!
