Guys Weekend started with Peter and I arriving at the beach ahead of everyone else.
The next morning, we got breakfast…
And then headed back to the condo to relax.
While it had rained…..
The rainbow was a sign of good times to come.
We had all day to hang out and drink as no one else was arriving until after work.
A quiet walk on the beach…
Found a few sufers in the fading light.
Chris showed up after work to join us.
Of course, he was met at the car with a beer.
Peter was only minutes behind him…
And he was ready to start drinking, too…
So we all had a drink together on the porch.
Peter sporting his new shirt.
Do you like it?
They were rolled up from my walk on the beach, but Peter W thought it was funny.
Last to arrive was Joe.
Now we can start the party.
Peter W brought along a hunting game that was pretty fun to play.
We stayed in that night, knowing we had a big day on Saturday.
The next morning there was plenty of time to lay around, so we did.
Of course, there was plenty of good beer to drink…
Plenty of time for Rock and Roll…
And plenty of time for a nap.
Well, it was almost time to leave…
So we got a taxi and headed to Berlin, MD.
They were having an Oktoberfest…
And there was plenty of fun stuff in town to do.
Live music was on the bill…
But we were there to drink the beers of Burley Oak.
With ticket in hand…
We didn’t have to wait long until we had a pint of that golden nectar.
We were actually there to do a piece on the Burley Oak Brewery and owner Bryan Brushmiller.
We also did an interview with his brew master Brian Carl. Check http://indybeers.com for more information.
There was some BBQ to be had…
And it was fresh off the grill.
We left the beer garden and headed to the brewery.
It was only about a 15 minute walk from main street…
With plenty to see along the way.
We arrived at the brewery…
Which is a very small building from the outside.
There was a great bar setup serving only in house beers.
Bryan was happy to answer any and all questions.
Chris grabbed this picture of the current offerings.
Seriously good beers if you get the chance to try them.
I didn’t get a good shot of it for some reason, but behind the bar was a big window looking into the brewing area.
You can kind of see it here.
We were well tanked, and decided it was time to leave. Notice the recorder around my neck for doing interviews?
I need to get a “Be Burley” shirt.
Group shot before jumping into the taxi.
We headed back into OC for some dinner.
We met these girls who were very interested in the whole indybeers.com thing.
Seared tuna, so good.
We apparently did shots, although this part of the night has a lot of holes in it for me.
We had been drinking all day, but hey, we weren’t driving!!!
I stopped by the Pit and Pub to say hello, but was dragged out by everyone wanting to go home.
Well that’s all, I was a little too drunk to take any more pictures, except this final shot of Peter and a dumpster.
