Summer started with Kelli out for a night of bowling.
My Summer started with a trip to see Jillian, et al.
Riley and his fresh hair cut came along, too.
Frisbee, the action shot.
I seem to be letting the beard get longer and longer these days.
Self portrait, courtesy of Bridget.
She took the camera and went off to do some macro photography.
Kelli showing off her new nail polish.
Brian and I played an Open Mic Night at the Judges Bench. (photo: Peter Edelen) Check out the music here:
Kelli and Mary having a fun time.
For the fourth of July we went to the beach. Check out the album “July 4th Weekend” for those pictures.
Kelli went out with Taylor and Amber one afternoon, and it looks like they stopped by the Disney store.
Amber got a hat…
And Taylor got some flip flops.
They stopped on the way home and grabbed beer for Mathew and me.
Zombie impersonations.
Kids never want to sit still.
The old one finally died, so I got a new one, that is similar, but clearly different.
Hooking up with the Worstells…
To watch Bridget play softball.
Find the ball.
It’s a little easier here.
Mike and Diane were there, but they left early.
This is the family shot from Bridget’s mother’s side..
Team sports are always a good time.
The game was winding down…
And an injury sidelined Bridget…
So while Kelli hung with Lisa…
We went home and I showed Bridget how to plank in a new manner. (For the record this is the only picture of me planking, and it was for purposes of demonstration)
Which she mastered quickly.
During band practice breaks we play pool, darts, and chess. This is a picture of the score board.
Kelli doing the Womens Distance 5K…
And later that day I went to see the Shadrick clan.
The next day found me with Kristi’s crew.
And the day after that Kelli and I went to DC for a show at the National Theatre.
She wanted to see Constantine Maroulis of American Idol fame.
This is how close our seats were to the stage (front row).
Looks like they went swimming and were now loafing around the house.
This is the lunch list at work. We use it to decide where to go to lunch everyday.
Stopping by to get some beer, and we ran into Ben giving a beer tasting.
Kelli’s grandmother passed away, and the family gathered at the beach to mourn.
In times of grief, being with family is best.
The kids had a great time.
We all hung out and relaxed during the day.
And the kids love to watch TV while laying around.
Ashley did a dance for all of us.
Kaitlyn and Riley having fun.
iPad junkies.
Too big for the bed.
Dinner was at Fish Tales.
We played the ring game…
While the girls got their arms painted.
The sun was setting…
So we grabbed a few shots…
And then sat down for dinner.
Afterwards it was time for a walk on the boardwalk.
The next day we went back to Baltimore.
Can’t Hang was playing at Artscape, and we went out to see them.
Afterwards we walked around for a while.
And generally just goofed off.
All that walking made us hungry…
So we went to Nick’s Fish house and got crabs.
The Worstells.
I said goodbye to everyone…
And went back to the beach with Bridget and Beatrice.
The next morning they slept while I worked.
Bridget, the latest victim of trying to open the door.
While I was at the beach, Kelli was on her way to Sarasota, FL for the funeral of her Grandmother.
For lunch I met the girls on the beach…
And hung out for a while.
A 12 year old’s idea of fun.
A 15 year old’s idea of fun.
A 12 year old’s idea of being bad.
Later that night, I took Riley for a walk…
And then we got dressed and headed out for the night.
We had dinner at BJ’s…
Before heading North to the Bayside Country club.
We were there to see a couple live bands.
Meanwhile in FL, Kelli was about to experience the culinary delight that is Munchies 420 Cafe.
Kelli said that the food there was….
Well worth the trip!!!!
Back at the show, we threw down a blanket and chilled out on the lawn.
While we were there, we took a cool picture looking up at us and the stars.
Gangster.
After the show, I met Mike Pinto…
And so did Bridget.
From the show we headed to the boardwalk for a midnight stroll.
What is a stroll without a big bowl of…
Ice cream!!!!
Back in Sarasota, Kelli was eating her way through Florida.
They were doing the entire Man Vs. Food Sarasota episode and hitting all the spots that were featured.
It was a glorious day to be sitting outside.
View from the Salty Dog Restaurant’s deck.
The Salty Dog is right next to a marine laboratory, and these guys were bringing in sting rays to study.
They had caught a ton.
This place is known for its fried hotdog wrapped in bacon.
Kelli had a spicy grouper sammie.
The afore mentioned specialty of the house.
Outside of the restaurant.
Back to me, and on the way home from the beach…
My car turned 200000 miles.
Back to Kelli, and they had headed to the beach for a nice break.
Seriously, all they did on this trip was eat.
Which they all love to do.
Mmmmm, pie.
Looks like she ate about half the pie from the last picture.
Bought at the beach…
And installed by me.
Back in Florida and Kelli found some lackluster palmettos in her grandmother’s guest bathroom tub.
They found an old bottle of champagne at her grandmother’s house and had a final toast.
It was so old and disgusting though that they took a quick sip and threw the rest out.
Aunt Ellen and Kelli’s mom agreed that these dishes were pretty ugly.
Uncle Ted and Mike load up the car with mementos from Kelli’s grandmother’s house.
Just after I took this picture of the outside temp…
I took this one.
Erin, slowly becoming a Raven’s fan.
Kelli and Mary at Pub Dogs, and their 2 for 1 includes everything, including soda pop and water.
First picture with the new HTC EVO 3D.
With the new phone, I don’t carry my big camera around as much.
I have found the the new phone does well enough in most cases.
Yard sailing, or when Diane is with us, yard snailing.
What 3D video looks like when you don’t have a 3D monitor.
Later we went to Ashley’s swim meet.
She was all done up as a North Saint John Blue Marlin.
Video of her swimming. Ashley is in the second to last lane.
While Diane took the video, I grabbed this shot…
And then ran around to get this one.
Been a long time since I had one of these pictures.
Kelli and I made for the shade…
Before saying goodbye to Ashley and her last event.
The next day I went to see the Shadrick clan.
I brought my underwater camera with me.
Of course, this was the “busted” picture as she was not supposed to open her eyes underwater.
Embryo-tic.
Cool video of Cecelia being thrown.
Carrie showed up with her son, Gaven.
A good day was had by all.
Can you guess which ones are the veggie burgers?
We were all there to celebrate Carolyn’s birthday…
She wanted a picture with her dogs. Who am I to say no.
Victoria Vox, showing up everywhere.
Hanging with Jillian again, and as always…
She asked me to spin her. When asked if she wanted to go faster, she says, “yeah, faster”.
Hanging out with Scotty G.
And Kelli had a unique way of playing…
After skating in the hot sun, it was time to relax.
Then we went for a ride in the Corvette.
Then we goofed off.
Peter joined Kelli and I for some mid-day drinking.
And it was a great day outside!!!
Somehow a pepperoni kit ended up in my house, so I made them a pizza with three pizzas worth of pepperoni.
I think they went into pepperoni overload.
Hmm, is that a hummingbird I see?
Why, yes it is.
Kelli came home and joined Peter for a picture.
Jules came up one evening and we made our way through Symphony Woods…
To a pre-show party at Merriweather Post Pavilion.
With the pre-show entrance, we didn’t have to wait in this line.
Doug was on duty, so we stopped and said hello.
We hit up the pinball machines for some fun…
State Radio, Man in the Hall. I was testing how well video worked on the new camera.
One that allowed her to beat Jules and me.
Always try to do something different with your pictures.
The house was packed…
And we had great seats to see Steely Dan.
The show was OK. They didn’t play as many hits as I wanted, but that’s fine.
Capturing the fact that we were all hanging out together.
Kelli sure does like taking pictures of her nails…
And toe nails.
From my Google+ account, I hope you like jammin’, too!
After the show we watched the race for a while.
Afterwards Scott, Kelli and I had some drinks and food…
Before heading to the Recher Theater in Towson, MD.
We were there to see Alien Ant Farm…
And they rocked the house.
Raven’s fans!!!!
Running joke with Taylor and Amber.
Kelli and her BFF.
Kelli thought Riley looked cute (when doesn’t he), so she took a picture.
At the beach and Steve and Rob from Can’t Hang stayed over for the night.
The next day was the Can’t Hang/Ballyhoo show, which rocked!!!!
You’d be surprised what is using electricity in your house.
Talking about pictures for her sweet 16, and I took this one.
Peter replaced his speakers and stereo in his car…
And I went over to hang out.
At night we made fun light paintings.
Yes, yes she does.
Flemings 10th Anniversary cake!!!
Like I said, always try to do something different with your pictures.
Kelli and I celebrated 10 years of marriage. Check out the album “10th Anniversary” for those pictures.
Riley and his newest toy.
Kelli met up with her favorite bartender at the Slightly Stoopid show.
Kelli and I went out to dinner at Gertrudes, which is located in the Baltimore Museum of Art.
Reading a bedtime story to Cecelia.
Kelli ran a triathlon. Check out the album “Iron Girl Triathlon” for those pictures.
Kelli hangin’ out with high school friend, Cathy.
They went up to Zapatas where Meltin’ Pot waitress Karen moonlights.
The devastation left by the 2011 East Coast earthquake.
We now have a permanent mark on that dresser from the vase.
Kelli’s new hair color.
Hanging at the pub with some friends.
Kelli went to Beth’s house for some food on the grill. Notice the chicken?
Beth has a couple on her property that she collects eggs from everyday.
Inside the kids were having fun.
And outside the food was ready.
Like a southern belle.
Kelli never sits outside in the summer evenings because she constantly gets bit by mosquitoes.
Later we all met up for drinks…
Before heading to Merriweather Post Pavilion to see…
Train and Maroon 5. We missed Maroon 5, and left after only a few Train songs.
While Kelli was on her trips…
I was sending her Riley updates.
For Amber’s birthday we got her a scooter.
Loves the bananas.
I’m over at their house a lot, but rarely take pictures, so here’s one.
Another Riley update for Kelli.
After a few drinks I talked Peter into mowing circles in his lawn.
Doing it while the ground was wet wasn’t a good idea.
She asked if she could try my “chicken stuff”, turns out Cecelia loves tofu.
Taylor got out a telescope one night to look at the moon…
And I took this picture with my camera phone using the telescope.
Not bad, eh?
Kelli went West with my parents on vacation. Check out the album “Kelli’s Trip to the West” for those pictures.
While Peter and I were going for the race…
We were also going to see Can’t Hang.
After night after Riley eats, you can hear him burp.
Then walked around and look at all the vendors.
The next day was the actual race, which I watched from the in-laws house.
A nice night for a bike ride…
So we all went out together.
Whenever I walk in the door I’m asked if I would like a drink.
Riley, missing Kelli, but enjoying the view.
High School friend Jeff Nauman got married. Check out the album “Jeff and Jamie’s Wedding” for those pictures.
When Kelli did get home we went to see…
Incubus at Merriweather Post Pavilion.
They rocked…
And if you ever get the chance to see them, you should go.
Delcie came to town for a visit…
And went out with Kelli to get crabs.
We went to see the movie Shark Night 3D.
I still got it enough to do a rail slide.
Maryland Wine Festival, and Maura brings the ice up the hill…
While Jan stands by and watches.
We love working for them at wine events.
Kelli ran into one of her stamping buddies when we were leaving.
On the way home we stopped and got some homemade ice cream.
In preparation for the crab soup contest at the brew pub.
Sue and Q’s 18th Annual Psychedelic Shindig.
Tye Dyes are the order of the day.
College buddies.
Running the Fort McHenry Tunnel run.
We have run it every year, and this year we won passes to the Maryland Science Center.
Kelli and I went to a house concert at Victoria Vox’s house.
It was a lot of fun…
And there were a few people there.
It was a great way to end the Summer!!!
