Kelli and I started our 10th Anniversary celebration with a trip to one of our favorite wineries, Pearmund Cellars.
It was a glorious day…
And perfect for drinking wine.
So we got a bottle and some food and sat outside.
We decided to go for a little walk…
And found some bee hives.
I got really close to get this picture…
And then closer to get this video. I left when a couple of them started swarming around my head.
I took a bunch of stock photos like this one…
And this one for later use in wine photo contests.
We tried to make Gray Ghost our next stop and it was closed, but we had been there before. The first time was during our 4th Anniversary.
So this one became our second stop for the day.
They are a newer winery…
And it seems to be the end of the day for them.
The wines were OK, but we felt a little rushed.
This reminded me of Schoolhouse Rock.
The third and final winery for the day was Gadino Cellars.
Antother new winery…
That we were happy to enjoy. Good wines and good people.
From there it was on to our final destination, The Inn at Little Washington.
This is a 5 star hotel and restaurant…
And we were greeted with a drink.
From there it was upstairs…
To the landing…
And then down the hall into our room.
The room was small, but well apointed.
The lens makes it look bigger than it was. For scale, that is a king size bed.
This was what you passed through when entering the room…
With a modest bathroom on the other side.
There was a nice note for us from the staff.
Kelli made use of the window seat…
And I went downstairs…
To get more drinks!!!!
While Kelli finished getting ready, I went downstairs and was given a bootenier.
She came down and it was dinner time!!!
I forgot to get pictures of the INCREDIBLE food, so here is one of me after dinner being goofy.
Back in the room we had some treats waiting for us.
The next morning we got dressed for breakfast.
Fresh squeezed juice anyone?
How about fresh cream and berries?
Kelli had the omelete…
And I finshed the trip with french toast!!
