Heading out to Wisp for a weekend of skiing and Kelli and I stopped in at in Funkstown, MD…
At our old favorite, Funkstown Tavern.
This place is a hole in the wall, but it’s fun.
We arrived at the house at about the same time as everyone else.
The name of our place for the weekend was Hearts Desire.
This is the first room Kelli and I chose, but it was right below the kitchen, so we ended up moving.
Carmelo didn’t waste any time having fun…
And there was plenty of space to accommodate him.
We had 2 refrigerators, both well stocked.
Downstairs we got some pool games going…
And upstairs the girls played Kinect.
There were lots of footsteps overhead in our old room, so we moved to the room above the kitchen.
This room had it’s own bathroom…
Which was much nicer.
It wasn’t long before the girls were talking nail polish.
Beer pong is a ski trip favorite, and this year was no exception.
Only a few hours in, and everyone was already feeling good.
Carmelo, Mike, and I went to get pizza…
But it turns out the pizza place was closed.
Drunk, but not quite hammered.
Everyone was just laying around….
But as the snow started to come down, the fun began…
With things like throwing a football outside…
And shooting pool in the basement.
There were two hot tubs, but one didn’t heat and the jets were broken in the other, so the repair guy came out to fix them.
Back inside for a game of caps. Find the bottle cap.
Vegetarian chili was made, and it was really good!!!!
What else to do when it is raining/snowing/sleeting outside?
Kelli painted all the girls nails with her special Opi Crackle nail polish.
It breaks up into “cracks” as it drys.
We all went to get drinks and food together, and Kelli and I decided to walk.
It was that close that we beat everyone there.
Back inside and everyone was getting sauced.

Conditions were getting very icy, and this was a car stuck going up the hill.
Before heading back, Kelli and I went to Ledo’s for some private time.
After all the drinking we had done, it was time to restock.
On our way back, Kelli picked up some pink champagne for the girls.
Adam poured me a shot of some type of Mountain Dew liquor by Three Olives called “Dude”.
Just what they need, more drinks.
When one girl ain’t enough…
Better make it two.
Every year he seems to get his nails painted.
In the basement for some drinking and pool shooting.
And then back upstairs for the bottle cap collection…
And fresh oysters.
They were really good…
As Adam will attest.
The next day the slopes were finally looking good.
So we waited for the rain to stop…
Afterwards we had a drink at the lodge.
After which it was back to the house for more drinking.
After 3 nights of drinking, however….
Things weren’t as wild as they had been.
We mostly sat around and watched some movies.
The next day it was time to pack up and head home.
But not before I show you our secret room…
That would make any kid happy.
So we packed up…
And said goodbye to a great weekend!!!
