With Earl heading up the coast, I headed to the beach to make sure everything was OK.
Tom was there, too, so we had breakfast together.
Various news outlets were in town to cover any calamities.
No one was allowed in the water that morning, and the life guards made sure of it.
Yes, the sea was angry that day.
Riley enjoyed the day sitting outside.
By the afternoon, preperations were being made to reopen the beaches.
And when the beaches re-opened….
The surfers were the first ones back in the water.
The waves from Hurricane Earl were big for Ocean City (The surfer is about 6 feet tall).
And there was a playground of water to be had.
I was really happy with the surfing shots I got.
Check out how he’s dragging his hand on the wave.
These last three shots are all the same run.
These waves, and their currents, were for the experienced individual only.
Rooster tails…..
Were the order of the day.
Later that night, Kelli and Kristi arrived.
They wasted no time in relaxing….
And being bums.
Most of what they were doing involved Facebook or other social networking sites.
Kelli wanted to stay in, So Kristi and I went out and got (photo) bombed.
By this point we were already well in the bag.
Party like an in-law.
One of the few signs in town mentioning Hurricane Earl.
We went in and checked out the music.
And then headed to our third bar of the night.
Kristi enjoyed dancing….
To the local crooners.
The next morning, Kelli grabbed a shot of Kristi and Riley sleeping.
Of course when they left, he jumped in bed with me.
For the Sisters Edwards, it was beach time….
And then 5 hours later, party time.
This is what jaywalking looks like.
We were going to Mother’s Cantina with Tom…
To check out a new place (for us)….
And of course have some drinks, too.
Sizzling hot tuna fajitas!!!!
More drinks? Sure!!!!
It’s all good when a girl loves her drink.
ISO 400 – 1/130s – f/4.5
Same shot with f/20.
I posted this to the Facebook fan page for the Quality Inn and Suites Beachfront- Ocean City, MD. Make sure to check it out there and comment.
We were going to go out again that night, but the girls started to settle in for the night.
Kelli passed out, but I was able to keep Kristi up.
Although I’m not sure she was happy to have only me as company.
But after I gave her another drink, she was fine.
The girls went home the next morning and left me at the beach by myself…..
So I hung out for a few hours and then headed home with my sleepy co-pilot.
The next day it was over to my brother’s to check out the progress of the bus barn.
The footers were down…
And the building was about to take shape.
Where there is dirt and a dirt bike, Taylor will go.
The afternoon included tramping on the trampoline.
Check out Trinity sporting the Ravens’ colors.
You can see where Amber gets her hair.
The weight….
Of an adult in full jump.
Mathew made it get closer to the ground….
But that’s because in tradtion of Habicht men, he is “Fat Boy”.
Amber was here.
Well, enough of that, it’s time to head home to……
My wonderful wife!!!!
We headed over to Peter and Megan’s house for Kristi’s Birthday.
Jillian and Ashley enjoy the swing.
And then Jillian hitched a ride around the yard.
Dinner was served…..
And I didn’t have to sit at the kids table.
Ashley and Kelli enjoy a game of badminton.
Happy Birthday, Kristi!!!!
Well, with the blowing out of the candles, it was time to end the weekend…..
Before things started to get too wierd.
