The Ocean City weekend started with the girls getting to the beach first….
And while they enjoyed the day…..
And made the rounds in Ocean City…..
The men came down after putting in a days work.
Everybody was in good sprits when we arrived.
The weekend involved a lot of movies in the evenings.
And some of the younger crowd just couldn’t seem to stay up late.
So while I put Sophia to bed….
Ashley had no problems staying up for the full movie.
Check out Ashley’s tan line. We should have put a butterfly sticker in the middle of the circle while she was in the sun.
The next day, it was back to the beach.
Many of these pictures were taken by Kristi with her cell phone.
I was actually working that day, and only came out a few times to say hello.
So thanks to Kristi for giving me the pictures!!!
Ashley loves to ham it up for the camera.
A storm rolled in and it started to rain…
So the girls got baths…
And then watched some more movies.
Of course, I had to work, so I made them get dressed and go out.
It took them about 90 minutes to get out of my hair.
At 6pm, Ashley came back and did my job for me.
After all that, it was time for some grub.
We headed to BJ’s on 75th street.
The wait was about 45 minutes….
But it was worth it to sit on the bay and enjoy dinner.
BJ’s is a great place to catch a sunset.
On the way home it was putt-putt time.
If you can’t be with the one you love, love the one you’re with!!
The lines for each hole were long, but the girls were patient (mostly).
Good thing there wasn’t a fight over the color of the ball.
The course had a dinosaur theme…
With plenty of hazzards…
Including a flashing pterodactyl.
You can just make out Ashley’s name where I carved it into the wood.
Of course when we got back, it was movie time again.
The next day I took off work so I could enjoy the beach as well.
You’re not supposed to drink on the beach, but oh well.
Ashley enjoys the glorious flavorings of a Mountain Dew.
Tom and Lori were down for the weekend, too.
When Ashley was done with the beach, I made her a milk shake to enjoy while she had her bath.
The salt water makes their hair really knotty.
Dinner time again….
And this time we were headed to Fish Tales.
It’s hard to walk with a child like this….
Without them asking to be picked up like this.
Fish Tales has a children’s area, which included face painting….
Or in the case of Sophia and Ashley, arm painting.
Because if one gets something, you know the other will, too.
Another great spot for outdoor bayside dining.
Online profile pictures for Kristi….
To use on various websites.
Ashley isn’t quite ready for the online profile…..
But she loves to get her picture taken.
As stated before, once one of them does something….
No matter how silly….
The other one needs to do the same thing.
Our evening meals….
With Mike choosing the fried soft shell crab.
What trip to Ocean City would be complete without a walk on the boardwalk.
There were lots of things to see….
Like Mike’s inability to read.
I got lots of pictures with people in this tire, so why not one more.
Kristi bought some new glases after checking them out in a dirty mirror.
She hadn’t started playing yet, so I didn’t need to tip her.
Is it me, or does big Dora look a little creepy?
One of the few pictures I have of them holding hands.
After our boardwalk walk, it was time to look for some treasure.
Ashley walked away with about 60¢.
Before heading to the beach the next morning it was time to put the new profile pictures to work.
On the beach, everyone seems to love getting a tan.
Kristi was having the kids pose….
So I snapped a quick shot, too.
What are you looking at?
Always the goof when around the camera.
After some time playing in the sand…..
It was time to get the kids in the water.
They weren’t too keen on going very far out….
But enjoyed being held above the water.
It was time for me to do some boogie boarding.
The waves were really small….
Buy you could get a long ride the way the waves were breaking.
Well, long in terms of Ocean City lengths.
Mike and I prefer the umbrellas.
My neighbor Lori took this picture of me before I headed out to the waves…..
And this picture of me trying to catch a small wave. Thanks Lori!!
Dolphins are always fun for the kids to see….
Jellyfish, however, aren’t so fun.
The beach was crowded, but it was time to go.
So with the beach day ending…..
Kristi and I headed out for the night while Diane and Mike watched the girls.
We headed over to The Green Turtle West.
Where Kristi quickly plowed through some wings.
Check out the album “the Electric Co. @ The Green Turtle West – Ocean City, MD” for those pictures.
Well the next day it was time to head home, but we all had a great trip!!!!!
