Winter started with replacing my old water heater…..
With a brand new one.
We went form a 40 gallon to a 50 gallon, and now we can fill a tub with hot water!!!!
The feast of seven fishes at Aida Bistro…
And as always, the food was great.
Dessert was an espresso and….
Cake (the cake was not a lie).
Check out the “Christmas 2009” album for more Christmas pictures.
Movie night….
Peter joined in the family fun of…..
Being one of the girls.
Cecelia loves Riley!!!
As does Carolyn!!!
Dessert at Katana Sushi.
I went up to see Brian one night…
I also got see his youngest daughter, Lola.
We went to Broom’s Bloom for some homemade ice cream.
If you ever get to go, I highly recommend it, the ice cream is soooooooo good!!!
This was the first time I had seen Wayne in 15-20 years.
There was a train garden in the room next door, so we stopped in to check it out.
A night at Tio’s.
Good times with good family.
The baby of the family…..I mean really, Mike whines like a baby all the time.
With Christmas money, I bought a new camera.
You can see it is slightly bigger than the old camera.
The old camera was an 8MP, and the new one is an 18MP.
This camera also does 1080p video (at a cost of 330MB/min).
Check out the “New Years Eve 2009-2010” album for more New Year’s Eve pictures.
Kelli got a new camera, too, and I was just testing it.
Because my camera can now do video, and the images/videos are hosted, I’ll now be incorporating more video into the website.
Avatar with Peter and Kelli.
Kristi came over to help make lasagna, but had to leave afterwards because she is not allowed to stay with the kids during the Raven’s game.
Listen to the tone of discontent in Kristi’s voice over being kicked out.
After the game we headed to the pub for a few beers.
Not being happy with the new camera alone, I needed some new toys…..
Including a macro lens.
One of his favorite spots to sit.
Kelli sitting at her desk at work.
Pink Floyd boxers (mine), Lilly Allen shirt, and an Apoptygma Berzerk jacket, PLARS.
Kristi came by one night and we hung out….
Acted goofy…
And danced to some music.
She was having fun playing the role of a model that night.
As for me, I just rocked out on the guitar.
The hat also stopped by to rock out.
With the playoffs in full swing, we went to Mike and Diane’s house to watch the Ravens beat up on the Patriots.
Kelli dyed her hair for the occasion.
Mike and Riley both wore their jerseys.
Take that Tom Brady.
Go Ravens!!!!!!!
Hanging at my brother’s house and visiting the kids.
Kelli’s roommate from college opened a restaurant in Ellicott City…..
So we went down to sample the food….
Kelli was celebrating having a great time.
And say hello to Lee (middle). Rusty, Lee, and Kelli all shared a house together in College Park.
Pool with Peter.
A Saturday afternoon found me taking pictures of Bridget playing soccer.
Their goalie forgot a shirt to wear (that is a different color from the rest of the team), so I loaned her the one I had on ( I was wearing two shirts that day).
The game was really exciting…..
And I found myself yelling a lot….
Especially when she scored one of her 2 goals on the day.
She was clearly one of the best on the team.
Goal #2 is about to happen.
They were the home team.
The facility was nice (although the lighting sucked for taking pictures).
Back at the house, we sat around and relaxed.
I let Bridget use the camera, and she of course took pictures of her favorite subject.
What are you lookin’ at?
See, two shirts.
Everyone loves Riley!!
We did a family picture……
And then an immediate family picture.
They both like to do photography……
So I was showing them cool things you could do with a flash.
Including some back lighting.
On the way home, I stopped by my parents house and said hello to them and the kids (they were babysitting).
I could write a better caption, but you wouldn’t bother reading it.
Kristi and I got comfy on the sofa.
And then the kids joined in and ruined our relaxation time.
Not enough detail……I need a better lens.
The Melting Pot with my parents.
Dinner at Venegas.
While the atmosphere was nice….
The food was just OK….
So we probably won’t be going back anytime soon.
We did, however, have great company that night with John and Dana joining us!!
At the beach, and where else would you expect to find these two?
Of course sometime they move to other places, but they’re always laying around.
That dog is a bum.
Fun with the macro lense.
Sometimes they had to get up…..
To go out for a walk. The dunes were still messed up from the last hurricane.
As always, he loves to run on the beach.
I was trying to capture how foggy it was….
But I did get this picture of their footprints.
Riley saw some birds……..
And was off like a jack rabbit.
Try as he may, he just isn’t fast enough.
Just watching this video makes me want to go to the beach.
That night it was Classic Cab to….
A favorite place of ours only 30 blocks north…..
Galaxy Bar and Grille.
The food is always good…..
And the seafood is always fresh.
We ran into some old G-13 friends there….
And it turns out some G-13 members were playing that night.
Our regular cabbie, Brian, picked us up…
And we went home and got some rest before going out later.
It was good seeing Sonny and John again.
Be sure to check out the “The Electric Co. @ The Steer Inn” album for all the pics from the show.
Back home, and the home grown mushrooms are coming in!!!
If you know that I’m a video game player……
Then it probably comes as no surprise that I went to the midnight launch for……
Mass Effect 2.
Over at my brother’s house…..
Taylor turned his 360 account into an online account. He chose the name himself.
Restaurant week in Baltimore…..
And we went to….
Prime Rib in Baltimore. Check out the wine.
The escargot tasted a little fishy.
But Mike said the steak was good.
As for me, the salmon wasn’t to my liking.
Nor was the crab imperial.
Kelli out for a night with her work nerds.
She likes to go to happy hour at the bar across from her work.
Meanwhile, Riley and I just hang out at home.
I snagged this off the front page of my website. I thought it had a tilt-shift look to it.
Kelli had my truck this night, as her car wouldn’t make it out of the driveway.
Not letting that discourage me, I set out on foot to get a beer.
The whole journey took 45 minutes to go 2 miles.
When there were no sidewalks, I was sure to stay clear of the road.
45 minutes later, and I had arrived at my destination.
Time for a beer!!!!
Some food would also be good.
Here is a screen shot of the facebook thread. As a note, it was Kristi’s post that made me go. On another note, the Google face recognition tagged me 5 times in this photo.
My father came by to show off his new truck….
And to drive the four of us to Baltimore for a home builders convention.
I’d like one of those for the foyer.
After browsing around for an hour or so…..
It was time to head home.
Taylor and Mathew hung out for a while at the house….
Before heading home.
And this is what happens when I try to head home from Kristi’s.
Another night found me at Peter’s.
He put a vent in the door…..
But saved the piece he cut out (which included my name).
The snow from late January.
We were getting lots of oranges from the Winter CSA, so it was time to make juice.
Here comes the double blizzard.
Happy Hour with her work nerds.
Check out the “2010 Double Blizzard” album for the pictures of the blizzards.
Yes, I have a gaming problem.
Valentine’s Day gift from me to Kelli.
The opening of the Olympics (the CC has the revised Olympian count for Georgia)….
And Peter and I met up with….
Brian Shadrick for some drinks.
Self portrait (and no, I’m not saying I’m an ass).
Playing catch with Riley on the bed.
Check out the “Heavy Seas Oyster Fest” album for the fun we had at that event.
Kelli enjoying a beer while taking a tub, and Riley wants in on the action.
A morning at the mall with Kristi, Ashley, and Sophia.
Heading out for Valentine’s Day.
I only shoveled one side of the driveway…..
So I moved her car to my side while still in the garage. I should have done a time lapse photo of the 10 point turn.
Holding a flash on each side.
Like this.
Whenever Chris comes over, we end up playing with the cameras.
Here, we were playing with the macro lens. Check out the large version for the detail.
Ashley’s school was opening late due to the snow, so I watched her while Kristi went to work.
We had lots of fun that morning….
Including a stop at the McDonalds playground.
The 9:30 club to see one of Kelli’s favorite bands, The Used (if you could read it in the picture).
Their shows always turn into a big mosh pit.
But we love going to concerts.
This is just crazy. He has both sides of the crowd charge at each other.
Kelli thinks he is HOT!!!!!!
Afterwards there was a meet and great with the band, but no photos were allowed.
Remember the Kindle I got my father for Christmas? For his birthday I gave him books from audible.com to listen to on it.
Check out the “Girls Weekend Feb 2010” album for Kelli’s first ever Girls Weekend at the beach.
A night at my brother’s, and Erin is making another great meal for me.
While Erin was cooking, we goofed off.
Of course, it wasn’t long before the food was ready!!!!
While the girls were at the beach…..
Chris and I hung out and played with the cameras.
We also went out to get….
Sushi!!!
After that, we headed to Brian’s house to watch a UFC fight.
The night was long…..
As Lola was happy to show.
I thought about turning that last picture and this one into an animated gif.
The UFC is not gay.
Brian took a picture of us….
And then took a picture of himself.
He made homemade vegatarian chili that was great!!!!
I ended up spending the night at Chris’ house so as not to have to drive home after drinking.
Check out the “Berkeley Springs, WV” album for those pictures.
Gin and Juice…..
Made with produce from the Winter CSA.
Really, he loves this spot.
Riley and I being bums together on a Sunday evening.
Riley loves to lay in bed with Sophia.
Can you guess where this picture was taken?
We were there to see Ani Difranco.
The next night we were in Annapolis for another concert.
We had some food….
And then enjoyed the show. Check out the “Andy Mckee @ Ram’s Head On Stage” album for those pictures.
Check out the “Skiing at Wisp 2010” album for those pictures.
Nice Disney ring, Kelli.
About to get the long hair cut off. Sexy, right?
Enjoying a bottle of wine with dinner.
I was cleaning some stuff out in the back, and found this jacket.
I think I should wear it around.
What do you think?
Rob Dinkle came over to hang out one day.
Duhhh.
Scott also swung by to hang out.
Check out the “The Electric Co. @ The Whiskey” album for all the shots from that night.
We had a lot of onions from the CSA, so I made a large batch of french onion soup.
I went to Bean Hollow for lunch and ran into old friend Chris Yockey.
A fun creation at The Melting Pot.
Riley likes to keep tabs on the critters in the backyard.
Lunch on St. Patrick’s Day….
Was at Victoria Gastro Pub.
Bob’s an idiot.
For St. Patrick’s Day we headed to The Diamonback Tavern in Ellicott City.
I was there to take pictures for marketing purposes.
Check out the “St. Patrick’s Day @ Diamondback Tavern” album for those pictures.
Back at Peter’s we hung out on the deck….
And then Kelli took a little nap while Peter and I hung out.
Good times, indeed!!!!!
Well that’s all for Winter, and it looks like Spring has arrived!!!
