Being stuck in the house did have its good side, however.
According to http://snow2.co.ho.md.us/Index.asp it looks like they weren’t plowing all night as the snow plows were back at the maintaince building.
With this much cold and water comes big icicles.
My brother claims to have had a 9-10 foot one hanging off his house. I’m still waiting to see that picture. (Update, he showed the picture, and he did have a huge icicle hanging from his roof).

Every piece of equipment the county could find to remove snow was used.
