Fall started with a trip to Kings Contrivance with my parents for dinner.
For Kelli’s birthday I got her a paper cutter.
She’ll be using it for all the cards she makes.
Of course, what would a birthday be without friends.
On our way to the beach, and we ran into Jen Coleman.
While at the beach we had a nice dinner at Ruth’s Chris.
Crab stuffed tuna!!!!
Love Birds!!!
While in OC we ran the Dogfish Head Dash. Check out the “Dogfish Head Dash 2009” album for those pictures.
Hanging with Scott….
And playing some tunes.
The back on that shirt is see through. Very cool.
We were headed to Pure Wine Cafe…
To have some drinks with friends.
I was also there to see DJ Dan.
Check him out if you get a chance, he rocks!!!
Dj-ing in the modern age.
Another day finds us at on our way to a family event.
Crabs at Megan and Peter’s.
It was a great day outside….
And the crabs were great!!!!
The Party was for Heather’s 40th birthday.
Heather sure does blow.
They were trying to take a picture right as they were falling.
Ah, the awkward years.
Although they can be as much goofy as they are awkward.
Who doesn’t love to be with Jillian?
It took 30 pictures to get one with Jillian in the air.
Showing the girls how to use the camera……
And how to get movement into a picture.
Ah, the sisters Edwards.
Jillian has clearly had too much to drink by this point.
Well enough of these pictures.
One last one of Pimping Peter….
And it’s on to the brew pub.
Timmy, always happy to be with the ladies.
After the pub, we went down to the other Peter’s for another party.
Drinks were to be had….
on a beautiful night.
There was lots of food….
And lots of friends.
Kristi got cold and had to wear my shirt, which is great for dancing.
Everyone in our family spoils Riley.
Seriously, he was not letting go of the bone.
Sometimes Kelli likes to be on the other side of the lens.
This time of the year has us visiting lots of family.
My brother came over with the kids, and I made fresh juice.
I’m not sure they really got what we were doing….
Until they got to try the juice.
Afterwards it was down to the basement for a jam session.
Of course, two children and a set of microphones makes for a good time, too.
Then we finished off the day with some games.
Do not believe for a second they are that innocent….
As they can change at a moments notice.
Check out the super bright red trees on the left. Fall was coming.
Riley finds a warm spot at Peter’s house.
Kelli and I took a trip to the Pocono Mountains. Check the “Pocono Mountains 2009” album for them.
Mmmmm, Nino Taco.
Ashley’s new Piano teacher, a childhood friend of mine, Cathy Ormond.
Kelli, playing the role of Aunt Kelli, and reading to the children one night.
Hall and Oates at the 9:30 club.
It was a really good show.
Riley “Hambone” Habicht
Kelli went out with Kristi, Megan, and Peter one night….
Their first stop was Outback Steakhouse.
But from there it was on to bingo.
Every has their good luck charms.
And Peter has his, too.
They snuck in a bottle of wine….
And it helped for a night of winning!!!
Prizes abound….
But not every card is a winner.
Back at the other Peter’s house, and the men were doing their own thing.
At this point, I had only had my smartphone (HTC hero, Sprint) for a couple weeks.
And the bingo party meets the guys party.
All of us, drunk.
Some sassy shopping….
With some spunky ladies.
With my grandparents gone it was time to clean out the house.
All that stuff in the dumpster came from the basement and the garage.
A few of the items I brought home to remind myself of my time with my grandparents.
The colors of fall.
How I love those colors.
Out in Baltimore one night to see The Used.
There were a few other bands first….
This was The Almost.
When the Used came on, Kelli went crazy.
She has a thing for Bert.
It must be some rockstar thing, because I don’t see it.
There was a mosh pit….
But Kelli was just into the music.
They didn’t want to stand next to each other, so I put them around the corner from each other.
Oh yeah!!!
At Kelli’s work potluck, her boss got into the spirit for Halloween.
Out one day and I ran into old friend Randy Schneider.
Jillian is always so much fun to be around.
Riley seems to be happy in there.
Hanging out on Halloween. Make sure to check out the “Halloween 2009” album for those pictures.
Sophia likes to say up late.
But eventually falls asleep.
It’s fun to eat and not worry about making a mess.
Kristi and Kelli do manicures one night.
Kelli went to Baltimore one evening for ladies night at Clipper City Brewing.
It was all you could eat and drink.
She had a blast meeting up with old friends.
The kids love to draw and play in their play room.
She knows she is not supposed to leave her room.
If the bag is out, he’s in it.
At the beach again, and like always, they were laying around.
An early morning sunrise when I couldn’t sleep.
If I remember correctly, that is Venus in the sky.
Later in the day, and they are doing their usual.
Tom came over and hung out (notice Kelli hasn’t moved).
We’re replacing the steel beam holding up the bricks…
And I just wanted a few pictures of what it looked like before we removed all the bricks.
Ava, sporting the castle car.
Riley, as always, loves to walk on the beach.
Seriously, he would spend all day out there.
Later that night we met up with Bobie Jo and Robert.
Bobie thought it would be funny to style my hair.
The wet look.
Classic cab was calling….
So we hopped in and headed to…..
Fager’s Island.
Dig the dew.
Kisses for the Mrs.
Getting’ buzzed with the Cuz.
Amazing how the amount you drink changes when you’re taking a taxi.
The night was winding down….
And now we should move on to something different.
Like hanging out with my brother…..
Eating Bang Bang shrimp at Bonefish…..
or arm wrestling in my basement.
Fall was full of treats.
If you haven’t noticed yet, sushi is a common theme with us.
Of course, that doesn’t mean I’m not messy sometimes.
Kids just love to bang on a piano.
Taylor and Amber fill the bird feeders with food.
They had their picture taken that day with Santa, and Mathew accidentally left the picture at my house.
A great use of bubble wrap.
Later that night, I was at their house for some playdough.
Taylor tried to hang, but couldn’t.
One great afternoon we found ourselves at Boordy Winery….
To see Victoria Vox. The rest of those pictures are available on http://www.talonphotography.com/
Well, maybe not all the rest of the pictures.
I saved a couple more for the Fall pictures.
See anyone you know?
How about more Victoria Vox fans!!!
What goes in, must come out.
Kristi was there, too….
Smokin’ hot!!!!! (Kristi, too)
I said the three of them could all go out on a date with me at the same time, and they thought that was quite funny.
We left the winery….
And caught a great sunset on the way home.
We love going to Aida Bistro….
they always have great events…..
And great food!!!
Nothing like good wine and good food.
If you ever get the chance….
To go to one of their events….
I would recommend doing so.
Sean is a great chef!!
A foggy night at Peter and Megan’s house.
Peter is amazed that I let all the kids play with my camera.
How are they going to learn to take good pictures if they don’t get started at a young age.
At the opening of the Symphony of Lights…..
And right when they turn the lights on, the race starts.
It’s only a little over a mile……
But it’s a lot of fun.
Umphrey’s McGee at 9:30 club.
Beer, goes with anything…..
Like really good music.
Afterwards we went out for dinner at an Ethiopian restaurant.
You eat everything with your hands and the stack of pancake things to the right.
Busted!!!
Make sure to check out the “Thanksgiving 2009” album for the Thanksgiving pictures.
Peter W. and I played some dominos one evening.
Looks like I was the victor.
Another night and we headed to the pub…
Friends and family…..
And Kelli’s co-worker.
It’s the best way to watch TV.
Romance.
Hanging out at Uno’s for a few drinks.
Check out the “Fells Point Oyster Festival” album for more like these.
With December near, it was time to get our Christmas tree.
Sophia and Ashley found their Charlie Brown trees….
But Kelli and I were looking for something a little bigger.
We loaded the tree onto the cart….
And when we got to the place to buy it, we found Santa!!!
Back home, I had to get the tree set….
Before I could cut it loose.
With the tree in position it was time for the lights.
Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree.
Riley is for the Ravens.
Mike’s birthday celebration at Red Robin.
Kelli took Megan out for her birthday.
The last wall is finished for the wine party.
The worst part about playing guitar is having to restring it.
A day at the CSA, and it’s snowy outside….
But that didn’t keep Kelli from spending money inside.
The roads weren’t that bad.
Time for the wine party. Check out the “Wine Party 2009” album for those pictures.
My parents stopped by one day to give the kids to Mathew and check out the house in its decorated glory.
Later that night, I read a book to some other kids.
Another night at the 9:30 club, and this time we did dinner first.
After dinner it was over to the 9:30 club to see the Arctic Monkeys.
A free lunch….
If you brought toys for tots.
Kelli, out with her stamp club for their annual December dinner.
Nancy and Sue loved all the cards that they received.
Becky admires her cards, while Joanne and Kelli proceeded to get plowed.
A fun time was had by all the ladies.
They exchange Christmas cards at the table.
Well enough of these.
Katana is my new favorite sushi restaurant.
Scott was on hand to enjoy it with me.
Princess and the Frog, with an unblockable view.
After the movie, it was time to see Santa.
It says she was nice, but I think it lies.
Ashley was taking instructions from two photographers, but oh well. At least Santa looked.
Of course, she had to send her letter to the North pole. Not sure why she couldn’t have just given it to the man himself.
Kristi asked me to take a picture of the kids for her Christmas card, and this is one of the pictures she did not use.
My company dinner….
And we all love sushi!!!
Good times with the work crowd.
When Chris finished the fish, they made the rest into soup for him.
Loreen and John pose for me.
Afterwards it was over to Clydes for some drinks.
Everyone was in the Christmas spirit.
A different night found John and I hanging out with a great customer of ours, Ken Pfeiffer.
And then the next night was Kelli’s company dinner.
It was a week of free eats.
Walking back to the hotel after the party, and the blizzard of 2009 had begun.
Kelli almost looks like Kristi in this picture.
Our room was welcome and warm…
But the next day we had to drive home from Baltimore.
We stopped by Kelli’s mom’s house to get Riley…
And had a drink while we were there.
Back home, the snow was about 6 inches away from being done. (Notice the light on the right)
Kinda hard to get in the hot tub with all the snow.
The things you have to do for a dog so he’ll go to the bathroom.
The same light from the tape measure picture, now almost buried. (there are some spot lights that were already completely buried)
When the blizzard was over I paid the neighborhood kids to shovel my lawn. This was done with time lapse software on my android phone.
Lots of icicles hanging around.
Well, with this final set of pictures……
Fall is coming to an end.
And with my Mother’s Christmas tree decorated……
It’s time to say goodbye!!!!!
