Christmas Eve, and the gifts are all wrapped.
With that work done, Kelli took a little quiet time to work on a crossword puzzle.
We went to the Christmas Eve service at church, and ran into Beth.
After church, we headed to my brother’s house.
We gave the kids their gifts….
And they had some for us as well.
Erin made some REALLY good cookies…..
Which can be used as a reward…..
For good potty training efforts.
This is special reindeer food.
Erin added magic dust to it to help the reindeer fly.
With the mix ready, Taylor threw it into the front yard.
A quick group shot, and then it was on to……..
Kelli’s mom’s house. When we got there, the kids were upstairs watching a personalized message from Santa.
Afterwards, we danced to some Christmas tunes….
And generally had a fun Christmas time.
Kelli was worn out, and decided to take a rest.
The girls got to open one gift each…..
That turned out to be Christmas PJs.
Here is the tree…..
Which is hard to see here with Mike in the way.
Back at Kristi’s house, it was time to spread the reindeer food.
Ashley made sure to get it all out of the bag.
Elf on the shelf, best thing ever.
I pulled up The Night Before Christmas on my phone and read it to the kids.
With all the Christmas Eve running around done, Kelli and I finally went home and slept in front of the tree.
The next morning we wasted no time in getting to the presents.
I bought Kelli a new camera, which she used to take a picture of me holding some shirts she bought me.
Riley got some presents, too.
What girl doesn’t like jewelry as a gift?
This was her old computer monitor.
Look how small the screen is, and how much room it takes up.
Ah yes, sooooo much better.
The messy wake of Christmas morning…….
Seems to be everywhere.
We gave the girls the same gifts….
Which Ashley quickly tore into.
A no-mess coloring station…..
That glows in the dark.
Kelli got her mother a bowling ball.
Kristi made omelets for everyone.
Ashley poses with the bowling ball.
Sisterly love.
Ashley models her new clothing.
She really loved the new scarf from Aunt Kel.
Why yes, Sophia, I do smell your blueberry lipstick.
Strike a pose.
Kristi, how she spends most of her time with us these days.
So while Riley and I relaxed…..
And Kristi left her phone sitting out….
Kelli had a quick look to see what is causing the anti-social behavior.
Drinking mimosas all morning caught up to me.
I went up to take a nap, and Kelli took some pictures.
At Kelli’s mom’s, they were doing some cooking….
And getting ready for later that night.
Meanwhile, I took a 2 hour nap.
When I came back down….
The house was full of people….
The food was out….
But it was time to go.
We headed to my parent’s house as the final stop for the evening.
The table was set….
For a great Christmas dinner.
Check out Aunt Crissy’s new hair style!!!
Riley managed to find a way up to table height.
I got my father an Amazon Kindle…..
We’ll see if he likes it.
He smiled for Kelli….
But when I joined, he turned goofy.
Kelli models Aunt Crissy’s coat…..
Before she and Mike left for the night.
Well that’s all for this year. Hope you had a great Christmas, too.
