Mike took Kelli and I to the airport so we could go see her grandmother in FL.
Enjoying the rocking chairs in Charlotte International Airport.
Kelli, however, prefers to wait at the gate, so off she went.
We arrived in Sarasota, FL, happy to be on vacation and in better weather.
We of course wasted no time in going out for….
Food and beer at one of our favorites, Phillippi Creek Restaurant.
No work, just surfing the internet for fun.
The run we went on was the most work we did that week.
We saw this parrot type bird….
That grabbed a berry, then flew up to it’s mate.
Kelli laid out on Siesta Key….
While I checked out the…..
Wildlife.
After sun bathing, it was on to another of our favorites, The Daiquiri Deck.
The food is always good, and the daiquiris are always brain-freeze-o-licious.
That night it was out to dinner at Sangria.
This was supposed to be a find Kelli shot, but it’s too easy….
So enjoy this one instead.
We enjoyed some Sangria and garlic shirmp.
The next day, Kelli and her grandmother decided to bake a pineapple pie (finished pic a little later).
The three of us decided to go out to dinner that night, so we posed for a quick shot before heading out.
Mmmmmm, ahi tuna.
I guess they look a little alike.
Banana’s Foster was for dessert at Bonefish.
Kelli got sunburn on her eyelid, and is hiding from the camera.
Here is the pineapple pie in finished form.
A week of relaxing included me playing my PSP….
And Kelli playing the DS.
While we only go once or twice a year, we have our favorite places…..
And Saulina’s is one of them.
Geee, look where Kelli happened to stop and wait for me.
And Mattison’s was just right!!!
A day out and about wouldn’t be complete without stopping somewhere else for a few beers….
That night was dinner at the Shrine Temple.
Mmmm, doesn’t it look good?
The ice cream was good.
Gotta love any place that forces you to drink.
Well, that’s about it. We said Goodbye to Kelli’s grandmother.
And then hello to her mother back in Baltimore to end our trip.
