We were catching a shuttle down to the airport together.
It was after 5pm, so why not?
At the airport, we checked in……
Then rushed to our gate.
Of course we had plenty of time to kill.
It had just started snowing when we got on the plane.
We arrived in Tennessee and met up with more family.
The next day, Kelli and I went for a run….
And then I played on the xbox with the kids.
Trust me, they were not always this angelic.
Mmmmmmmmmm, Mimosas.
Kelli and I don’t eat turkey…..
But if you’re going to, this is the way you should cook it.
Back inside, Heather made good with the trimmings.
Back outside, it was turkey dipping time.
I’m sure some of you are watering at the mouth just seeing this picture.
Kelli worked on her Christmas cards….
Then waited for the food to be ready.
We were getting close….
And look at the size of that turkey!!!!
Of course the one on the plate looked good too, and Mike helped cut it up.
Mike and Logan share a moment….
While Mike and I share another.
Mike’s daughter Stephanie arrived….
And we all sat down for some eats.
My plate, Mmmmm.
As would be expected, the women cleaned up dinner.
Upstairs, the kids were jumping around…
And well…..
Just being kids.
They seem to be floating on air.
They go to the same hair stylist.
Black friday was poker for the men….
Although, Heather did join in later.
Lovin’ from Nubbin.
This is some Mexican drink with a worm in it….
It makes you act funny.
The next morning it was off to play some golf.
There was frost on the greens…..
So we spent some time warming up.
Peter got this good shot of me stroking my ball.
M & M played a good game that day….
And at the turn, were putting a good schooling on Peter and I.
We grabbed a quick bite to eat…..
Then headed out for the back nine….
We didn’t fare any better there, than the first nine.
Of course, we told a different story to the women.
Kelli, still working on cards….
Mike, still getting used to the old man life.
There were some more cards to be played later that night….
But it wasn’t as serious as the poker from the day before.
A few of us headed out for a bite to eat….
although they don’t look too happy to be leaving the house.
Maybe they were just in the mood of the mellow mushroom.
This place had really good food…
And the company wasn’t half bad either.
Because it was there.
You think you have a remote problem.
Beatrice and Bridget had some fun with my game boy.
Well, it was 4:40am, and time for us to head home.
Of course, it was now time for Thanksgiving part 2.
The Sunday following Thanksgiving, my father’s family gets together at his mother’s house.
Yes, thanks to him, Kelli and I get two Thanksgivings.
Well, that’s all for this year. For now, I’ll leave you with this crazy spring shoe my parent’s bought.
