On our way to St. Michaels, MD we stopped for lunch at the “Rusty Oven” Pizzaria.
What better way to kick off the weekend than with a pitcher of beer.
After lunch, it was time to head towards our destination….
The Inn at Perry Cabin.
The inn was very nice and VERY high class.
Our room wasn’t ready yet, so guest relations took us to the bar….
And bought us a round of drinks.
Our room was cozy and inviting.
The bathroom was large….
And the view was fantastic.
The inn is located on the Chesapeake Bay.
Too hot for a fire, but the candles created a great mood in the room.
Kelli tries on the slippers.
Getting ready to go to dinner the first night, and I needed a few pictures….
Well, maybe only two.
I’m thinking of becoming a paparazzi.
I’m always a big fan of pictures in the mirror.
Dinner that night was great, and so was the company!!
We were very familiar with the wine we had with dinner.
The next day we went for a stroll around the grounds.
The view of the water was very enjoyable….
As were the rest of the grounds.
From there we went for a walk into the main street area of St. Michaels.
Stopping in a store, I wrote kelli a love note.
All that walking wore us out, so we stopped here…
For a drink and a view.
A small town, but worth the trip.
We almost bought this clock, but it was a little too tall for the place we wanted to put it.
Stopping at another bar, as we were very thirsty.
We were in a hurry to get ready for the night, so we left there…
Passed on seeing the local museum….
And headed to the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club.
Kelli’s friend Mike Murray was getting married.
Mike, however, thought it would be a good time to take a nap.
Hallmark really does make a card for everything.
With this ring, I give you half my stuff….
And with this ring, I’ll take it.
This was some new age thing they did….
They both pour sand into a vessel, and it symbolizes something to do with “eye of newt”.
And with this kiss, they’re hitched.
Mr. and Mrs. Michael Murray.
With the wedding done, Kelli and I passed on the lemonade…
And headed for the rooftop cocktails.
Why yes beautiful woman, I will have that Corona.
Dena and Mike were stuck doing the photo thing.
I grabbed a few of those shots too…
And one of the harpist….
But then it was back to the rooftop.
Mike poses for a quick picture with Kelli.
Our table awaits….
And for once, we had a really fun table!!!!
Dena and Mike made their entrance…..
And then had their first dance.
Dena flashes me a smile for the camera.
The sunset messed up the colors in this picture….
But was so inviting in general….
That we went outside, and I got this shot of them together.
The colors looked really pretty on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge…..
And I had to get one of Kelli and me.
I like this one too.
Back inside and Kelli was cuttin’ a rug…..
And doing shots.
I figured I’d join in that kind of fun.
Cake cutting and feeding time….
Followed by more celebration.
Do you come here often?
Kelli and Dena smile for the camera.
Can you find the Dead Kennedys in this picture?
On our way to the post-celebration celebration, and we noticed this car.
We moved the party over to the Jetty Dock Bar, where Kelli was invited on stage.
She had a blast with the tamborine.
The crowd was energized, having a great time….
But Kelli was beginning to fade after being on stage.
The party never stops for these two.
Our entire table from the wedding showed up to party.
Drunk and having fun!!!!!
The next day on the way home, we stopped to get some fresh herbs. See the three live geese?
The herbs were very fresh…..
As in “pulled out of the ground” fresh.
We then headed by the Naval Academy….
And decided to hang out in Annapolis for the rest of the day.
There was a little festival going on that day….
Which you can read about here.
Some free Jazz was to be had…..
As well as good beer….
Good food….
More good food….
And a good looking guy!!!
We ran into Kelli’s friend Chris while we were there.
Ego Alley was full of boats….
But we made our way along for a beer and oyster shot.
Oysters are an aphrodisiac, you don’t say?
In that case, shuck me another.
The bartender thought he would be funny and provide me with some entertainment….
So I took him up on the offer.
Kelli did the maze.
While doing some shopping later, Kelli tried on a skirt.
We then went and met with Scott and Brandon for a few beers.
Drinking at O’Briens Oyster Bar and Restaurant was a good time!!!!!
This chic wouldn’t shut up and needed to be the center of everyone’s attention.
Ha ha ha, we will just ignore her!!!!!
Walking home, Kelli decided she was done wearing shoes.
For the actual Labor Day, we went to lunch for Kristi’s birthday.
I see my sister and I’m going to wear some black.
No party is a party without cake.
That’s all for now, now let Kelli open HER early birthday presents from my mother!!!
