Winter started with a trip to Frank’s Seafood….
Where Kelli, Erin, Mathew, Taylor, and I got food for Christmas dinner.
We hung out with them for a little while….
Kelli posed for a picture….
Then it was over to my parent’s to decorate the tree.
First Christmas for Taylor.
My brother bought oysters that morning….
So some of us went to the basement to eat them.
A Habicht family tradition, Chinese food on Christmas Eve.
Then there was some more tree trimming.
No Scott, for the last time, you cannot trim my tree right now!!!
We stopped on the way home and checked out some lights…..
And then Kelli went to bed with sugar plums dancing in her noggin.
When Kelli woke the next morning…..
It was Christmas Day….
And she loved the gift I got her!!!!
The stocking stuffers were a big hit, too.
Another tradition, breakfast at my brother’s house.
But this little dog had none.
Looks like someone needs some coffee.
Over to my parent’s, this time for gifts!!!
More food here, I think I’m going to be fat.
A little game of pass the ace, and my grandmother took my money.
The soon to be married couple showed up.
Upset that I didn’t get him a shirt that says, “World’s #1 Dad”, he figured he’d let me know his ranking anyway.
Ah, the prepared seafood from the seafood market, crab cakes and halibut.
The first annual Christmas dinner of the younger Habichts.
Looks like Taylor needs a man bra.
Kelli, being a good wife on Christmas.
Kelli is like a crack addict with this game.
Hangin’ with Hollywood mogul, Shakes.
Out looking at Christmas lights again….
This house had a whole herd of deer.
I wonder how long it takes to put these up?
Afterwards, we went down to the pub to celebrate the holiday season with some friends.
Bender and Jenny came along for the ride.
Always time for the ladies.
Ever seen a grown man cry?
For New Year’s eve, and Kelli got us a hotel room in Baltimore.
We had a great view….
Good champagne….
And excellent company.
Dinner was at Petit Louis Bistro.
Then it was over to Laurie Kirsh’s house for a party.
Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Too bad Kelli coudn’t make it throught the night.
The day after New Year’s, and Brian Shadrick and I head out to get some pictures.
Here are some rock climbers we came across.
What’s left of “Hell House”.
What do you suppose is in that bag?
Probably something to do with this sign.
The steps to Hell House.
Brian teeters on the brink of Hell.
The structure was damaged in a fire set on Halloween in 1997.
Not much remains of the building now.
The internal walls have all fallen down, and only a few of the outer walls remain.
Whats left of a water fountain on the third floor.
This is a tunnel under the building, accessible from the boiler room. We decided not go in without a flash light.
There are various other structures around the grounds as well.
There is also an old cemetary.
There used to be a statue on this pedestal.
This is the only structure left in the cemetary. (picture taken with phone)
I took a picture of all the ridiculous mothers sparing their children from the 200 yard walk home. 15 min later (I shit you not), three police showed up wanting to know why I was taking pictures of children.
Mike Wright and I enjoy some beer.
It was some sort of TekSystems party that Kelli and I crashed.
Good thing Brian was there to catch Kelli.
When asked what they think of their current job, this is how they responded.
False alarm, it was in the wrong frame and had to go back.
I made dinner for Kelli one night. Meager, but good.
Check out the presentation on dessert.
Why is Kelli Smiling you ask…..
We decided to wrap up Bender’s deck furniture while he was away, that’s why.
Almost 5 years old…..
And it’s time to turn 100,000.
I think he goosed her to get her laughing like that.
Jan 13, and it’s 69 degrees in Maryland (self portrait).
I borrowed my shoes from Pee-Wee Herman.
Beer in Baltimore.
Kelli and I like wine events….
So we went to Woodhall….
for some soup and wine.
Mmmmmm.
While we were out that way, we figured, “Why not hit another winery?”
The dog days of Winter.
Of course, with more wineries around, there was more tasting to be done.
So what did we do after all that wine tasting?
We went roller skating, of course.
Like bowling shoes with wheels.
Kelli Skating.
Shooting pool with Bender and Mark one night….
Then hanging out with my brother the next.
Down-side up.
Determining if there is a correlation between the middle finger and something else.
Halo 2 Junkies.
Now that is some good sushi.
Brain and Mark came to get Kelli from the airport with me, but seem to need some help themselves.
Yeah, they’re done.
Our Halo 2 clan, VOoDoOU.
Hanging out with G-13’s John Sybert.
Chauncey hides under some clothing while we were at the beach.
Kelli brought her cards to work on….
But got tired and took a nap.
It was time to lose the things around the beds….
And I think it looks much better now.
Mardi Gras in Ellicott City.
There was good food, and good music to celebrate.
On our way to Vegas, Kelli and I ran into Jeff Mueller, an old high school friend.
Poker at midnight in Las Vegas.
Mathew and Erin are moving soon, so we all stopped by to get in their way.
Who’s birthday you ask?
My old man’s birthday.
Kill the cake!!!!!
Now there is a happy baby….
Even when being thrown into the air.
Kelli gives Chauncey a little lovin’.
Out with some Skillsoft friends one night….
They were in town for “Plugfest 9″….
And, like this picture, has nothing to do with what you might think.
The fun of an SUV.
A hawk with a fresh kill in our backyard.
This is Mathew and Erin’s new house.
Just about all the mowed area you see is their land.
His mailbox.
A nice little rancher.
This is going to be the party room.
A quick stop in the kitchen….
To toast for good luck in their new house.
Want some wine, Taylor?
Kelli was at a police thing in DC, and Shaq was there, too!!!!!
The civilized way to eat fast food.
Out at Ram’s Head in Savage, MD to see G-13…again.
The were really sounding great!!!!
John stopped by to say hello.
Then it was back to the grind.
Jason’s guitar playing was electrifying.
Cousin Dawn hooked Kelli and I up with tickets to see Motley Crue from a sky box!!!
I couldn’t take my camera in, so these are from my phone….
Hard to say if they’re lighters, or cell phones.
No doubt, it was a blast!!!
Brandi, getting into the spirit!!!!
The camera sucks, but it’s better than nothing.
Back in OC, this time with Mark.
They were bored, so they called each other to pass the time.
Oh BTW, guess who we’re here to see.
You guessed it, our favorite local band, G-13.
Mark decided this would be a good time to play with his balls.
John, as always, stopped by to say hello.
As the night went on, they got better and better….
Yet they still seem to be placed below the lower class citizens.
I’m in concurrence.
The lights definitely added to the fun.
John continued to belt out the lyrics….
While we just kicked back and had a slippy good time.
OK, enough of all that, it’s bed time.
The fun never stops with Kelli and I….
And neither does the high class lifestyle!!!!
What better wine to drink at the wine festival than your namesake.
Can’t go wrong with Scott.
Of course, why have just one Scott?
One of our favorites, Dancing Hands Jewelry.
The event was big….
And we enjoyed every minute of it.
Another sighting of lvegas. (picture credit to Bender)
Aye, tis Saint Patty’s day…..
And it twas a bit of Harp for us all.
The side effects of drinking on Saint Patty’s day.
Yes Bender, I found what you left.
Penny serves us some more suds on that greenest of days.
Mmmmmm, green beer.
Two TVs and two Xboxs, I think I may have a problem.
In the Spirit of Paris Hilton, Kelli and I had a beer at Bare Bones.
Kelli played DJ while we drove around.
Out for a walk in downtown Ellicott City, MD.
A picture of us both.
And with that, Kelli and I are signing off!!!!
