What a great picture to start this set with, my Mum-in-law in curlers.
These pictures were actually from a family reunion for Kelli’s family in Pittsburgh, PA.
I didn’t go, just look at these fools and you’ll understand.
Seriously though, I had something going on that weekend that I couldn’t make the trip, um…yeah.
Apparently “trickin’ out” the mini-van is a big thing there.
Check out the rims on that thing!!!
Of course, I miss the reunion with the babes (hey, they’re not MY family).
Really, it was just a flat tire, nothing can be done to a mini-van to make it cool.
All pictures from this trip provided by Kelli….
All insanity provided by her sister, Kristi….
All brain power provided by….well, not these guys.
So while Kelli was away, I was out to play.
Hanging out at my brothers house…
And checking out Tara’s new tattoo…
As well as Eric’s. I saved him his dignity by blocking out his bicept.
This was on the front page for a while, and I got a lot of comments that people liked the picture, so here it is again.
One of the many concerts Kelli and I went to this Summer….
We had lawn seats for the Jethro Tull concert at Wolf Trap.
Aqualung my friend – don’t start away uneasy – you poor old sod, you see, it’s only me.
A work buddy of mine Jake was selling his corvette and wanted me to do the pictures for him…
I was more than happy to help him out.
What our entertainment center used to look like.
Where I had a few surprises waiting for Kelli….
Jeff Nauman stopped by one night while he was in town…
Jeff was happy to see Brian too…
But not happy with my decision not to wear deodorant.
Killing some time one day, I went out and took some art-sy pictures.
I came across these kids skateboarding in the hills of Ellicott City.
A couple of them were pretty good.
And they were digging showing off for the camera.
I sent them this picture as a thanks for letting me take the pics.
Helmets are needed, but damn we look like dorks!! (maybe it’s not the helmet)
The first of several fox spottings in my neighboorhood.
My neighbor’s dogs could smell the fox and were going nutty.
Matt Nagle’s FBI party, thrown by his girlfriend.
Dennis Albright showed up with his newest addition to the family.
Special Agent Nagle, we need you for a short assignment.
This is Megan’s house, where the party was held.
Low—-ri—-der, is a little higher.
Viva la “get your hand off my woman”!!
A scary movie, and an even scarier crowd.
Later that night, we went to a party at Jen & Jonathan’s house.
Who let all this riff raff into the room?
The funny thing was, the cops wouldn’t help him find the person who did the hit and run. (that is the license plate from the hit and run vehicle).
Kelli and I bought a new wall unit…
But had to paint the room before it was delivered.
Blue was the color we choose.
We also had the carpet replaced.
A special delivery for Mr. Marley.
With the carpet almost done, it was time for…..
It’s just grand, yes?
The entertainment center.
There’s actually more to it than that, and let me tell you, it pays to have someone else do the lifting for you.
Check it out!!!!
Plenty of storage space for hiding body parts.
Now we’re talking!!!!
Showing some pictures to my grandparents. My grandfather is just mystified by computers.
The fox is back, this time trying to get a drink from our bird bath.
Mike King’s house, and it’s a Maryland football party.
Why is everyone wearing red?
That’s Sarah and Mrs. Kelli.
She’s french and asking if I want dinner. (kidding, but that is a toad in there).
This was in their bathroom….I guess even baby angels get boogers.
Mike, excited to hear that we’re leaving.
One Saturday, while Kelli, Kristi, and their Mum canned tomatoes…
Local band C42 (Drunk Monkeys) went to Shepfest for a gig.
But the rain kept us from playing the outdoor show. Oh well.
There were plenty of people there….
My father bought my mother an inner-tubbing trip for her birthday, and now is enjoying laughing at her.
It was a great day, but a little cold.
Needless to say, all the women were happy to get out and have their picture taken.
Going to breakfast with Pete’s family for some Dim Sum…
Food is put on this big wheel in front of you and you just dial up what you want.
Adam’s Morgan in DC for a night of drinking.
Mmmmmmm, beer.
We were actually there for a going away party.
Kelli’s friend Perri, who is moving to NYC.
A group of people came up and offered us their tickets to go in and watch the match!!!!!!!!!
Hello sexy!!!
Mmmmm, cracked corn, my favorite.
We were at a local orchard, and they had a petting zoo.
Kelli felt obliged to feed the animals.
Look at that turkey, not to mention the bird in the cage!!
We stopped by my grandmother’s house to say hello on the way home.
We also brought a pie from the orchard to share.
Same moon, different shot.
The harvest moon.
My brothers house again, and we’re just hanging out drinking.
Sometimes a differnet perspective makes all the difference.
Mathew working on his Mars rover.
What are you looking at?
Kelli went to the MD Renaissance Festival one Saturday.
Peter came by and picked her up.
While she was there, I was helping Brian Deitrick move…fun.
I did my best to stay out of the way.
Yes, they did have shoes like that in Medieval times.
His kilt suggest he is from the Raggedy-Ann clan.
The dangers of drinking mead.
Back to me. While Kelli was having fun taking all those pictures, I’m still lifting heavy things.
We had to put some stuff in storage, and some in his apartment while he is waiting for the house to be built.
Leaf me alone!!
Without even trying, they coordinated their colors.
Chuck has clearly had way too much to drink.
This was shot from the waist up because they were all holding their kilts up to be funny.
What a great pic of Jeni and John.
Loaded, both of ’em.
After coming back from the Ren Fest, I met Kelli at the bar….
But when I left the bar, I forgot to grab my camera…
Rob Dinkle, being the swell friend that he is, picked it up for me….
He also managed to take a few pictures of select body parts….
I’ve counted 13 middle fingers in this picture.
A night at my brother’s house, and he seems to have the same theme.
I left the shutter open for 8 seconds, then blew on the fire from a couple different spots.
Instead of staring at the TV, they decided to stare at something else for a while.
Another open shutter shot, this time writing words (thank you Mathew) with the burning end of a stick.
My fire ember poem to Kelli.
Here it comes, the storm of the year…
Catagory 5, Hurricane Isabel.
It was on all the news reports…
So I called Jake (the corvette guy)….
And we went down to Ocean City, MD to secure my condo.
Most places were boarded up….
And blocked in with sand.
Sand bags for sale, get ’em while you can.
While I was there, I met with local mayor James Mathias to discuss emergency preperations.
Turns out, having one wasn’t a requierment to enter.
Jake was lame-o and crashed early.
The next morning, we awoke to an angry sea.
We of course had to walk down and see how bad it really was.
The 35-40 miles/hour winds made the sand sting like needles.
Art-sy crap….next picture please.
Making sure no one is going for a quick swim.
The wind was really blowing hard!!!
This is the inlet, notice the sign in the foreground.
This is the inlet 3 hours later. The black squares in the middle are the signs.
I guess not everyone was upset about the hurricane.
With the hurricane coming in, we headed out of town.
That night, with power out across the region, we went to my out-laws house to hang out and drink.
Apparently it was wife swapping night.
Sometime in the middle of the night, a tree uprooted and fell on my house.
My Sliding glass door, my shed…..
And my grill.
It took out the railing on my deck, the roof….
Redneck living at it’s best.
I had to have someone come and give me estimates for eveything to be fixed.
The roof won’t be fixed for two weeks.
Luckily, there wasn’t too much damage to it.
This is the view from the bed I was sleeping in when the tree hit 6 feet above my head.
This tree didn’t fall, but didn’t really make it through unscathed either.
So now I have to get someone to cut the tree up before I can do anything else.
My mother saw these guys in her neighborhood, and had them stop by my place to help me out.
Four guys, and about 1 hour of time to cut it up.
That’s the 4th guy (the gofer) on the left.
Well, with the tree removed, it looks a little better.
Oh, by the way, Jay Masino (a neighboor in OC) took these pictures of our condo….
The roof was blown off in the high winds.
So Kelli and I got the double whammy on the roofs.
I’m just happy it wasn’t worse.
Yes, another wine festival!!!
Pouring wines for Penn Oaks.
Art showed up to get some wine.
It was a great day under the big top.
We went over to Deep Creek Cellers to Say hello to some old friends there.
On the way out, you can, if you want, check your alcohol level.
I blew a .10.
Now that is some nasty breath!!!
Kelli blew a .90, so we hung out for a while until we were ready to go.
See, no problems driving….
Or taking pictures.
I think that is the first time I’se seen Pete smiling on camera.
Later that night, Kristi announced she was pregnant.
That is one ugly kid!!
Here’s to Kelli and Scott, the greatest Aunt and Uncle to be.
While Kristi called her grandmother, Kelli got a little tail.
My parents stopped by to join in the celebration.
I’m not sure how women get pregnant (public school education), but I think Kelli should stay away from Kristi.
So that’s all I’ve got for this time, but stay tuned for the end of Spring when I’ll tell you who won the due date pool!!!!
