A nice Sunday drive past Frederick, MD to Gambrill State Park….
For some 4 wheelin’ with the Jeeps!!!!
Mathew (pictured) drove his wife’s Jeep, and Dinkle drove his.
We weren’t the only ones horsing around, these two women were out enjoying the Sunday afternoon too.
Mathew gets a little sideways while parking the Jeep.
After the long ride out, we took a break to relax.
The snow up there had not yet melted, in this picture you can’t see my foot the snow is so deep.
Mathew tried to tell me this puddle wasn’t that deep, I disagreed…Looks like I was right.
Rob thought that looked like fun so he tried too.
We had walkie-talkies with us, and Rob and I heard Mathew come over the radio with, “I’m off the road in a ditch!!”
He got out, but this guy was pretty hung up.
All four of us got on his bumper and bounced his truck while he drove it in reverse out of the ditch.
Needless to say he was lucky to get out of this ditch.
He called a buddy to come get him, so we waited so we would pass boths trucks on the trail at the same time.
When his buddy arrived, we had a few good laughs over the incident….
Then a few more over Mathew getting stuck, again, while trying to pass them.
He was a little more stuck this time….
But with the help of a shovel and some pushing, got himself out.
This is the Frederick watershed. It’s the backside of the area we’ve been driving around in.
Now this guy was S-T-U-C-K!!!
We tried to help him, but he was in a rear wheel drive van, in six inches of snow, on an icy uphill…Needless to say we didn’t get him out.
Your fearless photographer.
Rob and Mathew switched off who lead down the trails during the day.
We came to the end of a trail and it was blocked so we had to go around the snow pile…
And I decided it was a good place for a photo.
Well, it was getting late and like the people in this picture, we had to run. Hope you enjoyed!!
