7am, and waiting for the plane to Miami.
2:30pm waiting for the bus to the boat.
Finally, the boat!!
See how happy we are to be here.
Can you believe it, more lines and waiting before getting on the boat.
Our room on the boat.
We got a larger room than most….
Why? Well……why not?
The bathroom, as if I needed to tell you this.
And the super cool balcony.
Before we could leave, we all had to do a “the boat is sinking” drill.
If the boat did go down, this is what we would have to get in.
A Coast Guard escort on the way out of Miami.
Leaving Miami.
South Beach.
Kelli was enjoying the view with me.
The sunset was spectacular….
So was my wife!!!
Our first night having dinner on the ship.
Kristi grabs a towel to hide behind….
But I got one later anyway.
The Captain’s dinner party.
Kristi and Pete looking good.
Please, look AT the camera.
Oh, how festive.
Sure, everybody get one in front of the tree.
Well it wouldn’t be the Captin’s dinner without him and his crew.
Coming into George Town, Grand Cayman.
Yeah, sure, it’s real.
We all went on trip to feed the sting rays.
Kelli gets up close with one….
So did I….
And my mother-in-law….
But the guide was trying to give Mike a little something extra.
Kelli was getting cold….
So she came out and I wrapped her up.
Kristi thought that was such a good idea….
That she joined Kelli.
Leaving Grand Cayman after a day of fun in the sun.
Out of all the places we went to, Grand Cayman is where I would go back to.
That night, drinking on deck.
There was a congo line runing around….
To which I say!!!!!!!
Kelli got involved in some audience participation thing….
They had to dress a guy as a girl….needless to say it was lame.
Kelli in motion.
Roatan, Bay Islands; Honduras.
Can you say third world?
The welcome committee.
Grabbing some cash from the ship’s ATM, check out the fee.
A typical street scene.
A typical tourist scene.
Can you guess why I took this picture. (hint, look at the sign)
Pete and Kristi enjoy dinner….
And so do Scott and Kelli.
Yet another audience participation thing….
This one was a lip synch contest.
Neither Kelli or Kristi won, but….
I think they both give good lip service.
Christmas morning….and Kelli has a present.
Jewelry, what girl doesn’t like it?
Christmas breakfast with the in-laws.
Taking the taxi boat to shore.
Can you “Belize” it? Belize City, Belize.
Who’s house you ask?
Our Taxi driver’s. He invited us back later for some Christmas day truffles.
I bought the Pepsi because I liked the old style glass bottle.
Altun Ha….
An ancient Mayan city.
Apparently the Mayans left the area centuries ago…
Because of over populating.
A stone face left by them.
A very cool tree….
With a palm tree growing in the top of it.
The Mayans over farmed and streched the limits of what the land could hold.
When it could hold no more, the civilization as a whole began to crumble.
This was the largest structure on the site.
Kelli decided to come join me.
But wasn’t too sure about the climb.
But, how could you say no to this view.
1 of 3 for the panoramic.
2 of 3 for the panoramic.
3 of 3 for the panoramic.
The panoramic picture.The panoramic picture.
A picture of the site.A picture of the site.
Afterwards, Kelli and I had a couple of local Belizian beers.
Of course there was entertainment to go with the beer (That’s an eight foot snake in his hands).
On the way back to town, a stop for some coconut water and conversation with the locals.
A local food…tastes like chicken.
The beers we had.
Yes, even in 80+ degree weather, Christmas can be tacky.
Remember the truffles I mentioned earlier….they were so good.
Kelli’s grandmother with Frankie.
Looking down the hall as the boat moved.
In Cozumel, Mexico, having a beer on a sailboat.
It was a great day to do nothing….
Well, maybe not nothing….Well, maybe not nothing….
Whatever it was, it sure was fun.Whatever it was, it sure was fun.
Nothing like beer to keep you warm after going down…..and swiming with the fishies.
Kristi showing me one of the many things she can do with her tounge.
This was the boat we were on.
And this was the boat they were on.
I actually had to tell them that this was wrong.
See, doing better now.
Of course, stubbing your toe when coming back on shore is not doing better.
We all took turns trying to fix it, but to no avail.
Time to go, so we all got back on the boat and went home.
On the way home, it was party, party, party.
They don’t call it “The Booze Cruise” for nothing.
The top rated SCUBA dive shop in Mexico.
Later that day….more drinking.
Mmmmm, cheap Mexican liquor.
Dancing on the table fool #1…….
And #2.
I went to the police station to buy a stolen license plate from a crooked cop.
As for her toe….the doctor gave her a shot, put it back in place, and told her to stay off it for a while.
A week later, and we’re out to dinner at Tio Pepe’s in Baltimore.
It didn’t really seem like Christmas on the cruise, but coming home to family helped.
OH YEAH!!!!
Alright, enough with the pictures!!!!! Hope everyone had a happy holiday season!!!
