This is the Tonoloway Lodge, the place where Missy and Rachel held their Commitment Ceremony.
Kelli waits for the show to start.
And here come Missy and Rachel.
It was a very nice, informal ceremony.
Family members from both sides said some words.
The ceremony part only lasted about 20 minutes, Becky speaking during this part.
Everyone kept taking pictures at the same time as I did, so some of mine seemed a little blue.
Rachel slips the ring onto Missy….
And Missy returns the favor.
At the end, they exchanged roses as a symbol of love (or some girly thing like that).
Kelli tells Rachel that she found a good catch….
Missy and Kelli both chuckle over that one.
Downstairs there was a 20 minute slide presentation that Rachel had put together.
It included pictures of everyone at the wedding, as well as pictures of Missy and Rachel when they were young.
The favors were a moose in a bag. (appropriate because they were wed in a lodge).
Yes, Rachel was just beaming with happiness….
Missy, however, was just beaming about her cool shoes.
Rachel’s father sitting on the front porch waiting to see what comes next….
And what could it be, but his wife.
Rachel and younger brother Jed.
Rachel, Missy, and Jed.
The happy couple….Give ’em a few weeks.
I have no idea who these kids belong to.
Missy’s side of the family.
Missy’s side, again.
Rachel’s side.
Rachel’s siblings, Jed and Becky.
They both have on funky cool shoes.
Rachel’s Parents.
Graham admires the view, while everyone admires Graham.
I think Kelli is burping Kip.
Laura, Kelli, and Erin pose for the camera.
It’s toast time!! (or is that get toasted time?)
Jed (the best man…perhaps) says his toast.
Kelli poses, while Rachel looks at something more interesting.
Erin does her best to pretend Justin isn’t there.
Getting Denise to look at the camera is a feat in itself. Getting her to smile…..forget about it.
The older crowd waits for the food.
While the younger crowd sports the style out back.
This has a Dali feel to it….
But this one, is just pure beauty!
Mary and Matt, better known as “Eminem”.
Rachel shows off the ring.
Now the old folks are gone, the younger crowd can sit and enjoy the meal in peace.
And what would dinner be without dessert.
The temptation was too great for Rachel….
Missy, however was a little more civilized….
But nonetheless she decided not to share.
Jed has the same camera as I do, but didn’t read the owners manual, so has no idea what he is doing.
Justin and Ann Marie pose for an after dinner shot.
And so do Kelli and I.
The lodge was actually a pretty cool building.
The ceiling was a large dome-type structure so the inside was very spacious.
Looking down, you can see how large the room is below.
And at this party, even the “bore” on the wall got laid.
Down the hill there was “the river house”. This is where Kelli and I slept.
Apparently someone decided Missy and Rachel’s car needed to be decorated.
Erin and Kim consider the shots before them.
One shot…Hey! Mas Tequila!!
This group sat up and talked politics all night….
While the real crowd went and played drunk putt-putt.
Good thing I brought a cooler full of beer with us for re-filling.
This is the second foursome waiting for their turn.
Of course, no one after drinking all night has much patience, so things got messy pretty quick.
Graham lines up his shot.
And so does Kim.
Everyone else lines up in the gazebo for a shot, after becoming bored with waiting to play.
Erin’s shot does a Dukes of Hazzard style jump over one of the obstacles.
I think Laura is lettin’ one fly.
And by Rachel’s wrinkled nose, I’d say I was right.
Missy comes up to join us.
I have no idea what the hands could be doing to cause these faces.
Missy wanted a hug, but Rachel insisted Missy needed a breath mint.
Missy and her mom chit-chat.
See what I mean, Denise never wants to be in the picture.
I think I was dancing with Rachel when I took this picture.
Matt was dancing too….At least that’s what he calls it.
See, this is some weird stuff he’s doing.
Well, while he’s busy being a fool, I steal his girl.
Foosball, the devil’s game.
Sure, use my sleeve as a tissue.
Hands above the covers ladies.
Wooo Hooooo, we’re drunk!!!!
So let’s drink more!!!!
Kelli finally starts to come around….
So we headed down to the river house for the night.
Graham does his best to look like a hillbilly.
The next day, a walk along the river revealed this bridge-in-progress.
Not being able to read so good, I decided to try out the bridge.
Laura decided that the bridge was safe enough for her too.
Last Shot…Kelli is ready to go home after a great weekend.
