Kelli enjoys the first class lifestyle….
Complete with a first class man.
Coming into Sarasota, FL.
Kelli is happy to see her Grandmother.
Lorraine “Scottie” Jacobs’ home in FL.
Our first day there, we went to the Gulf of Mexico for swimming….
sunbathing….
and fun.
This was a flower in front of Scottie’s house. It was the size of a silver dollar.
On our second day, we decided to go to Busch Gardens (an amusment park), but it started to pour down rain on the way there.
So we changed course, and headed for St. Petersburg.
The sky was very ominous looking.
By the time the rain had stopped, many of the streets were flooded. Yes, against Kelli’s wishes, I drove through this in a Honda Accord.
On our wat to St. Petersburg, we saw signs for a winery, so of course, had to stop.
Kelli is poised to enter.
The manager tells us about the wine making process. The drum in the front is what they use to juice the fruits. The one in the back is for fermentation.
This press is pressing tomatos for, yes, tomato wine. They only produce one grape wine, all the others are made from fruits.
They only produce the grape wine so they can be part of the wine growers assoc. of FL. But that’s OK becuase of the 10-12 wines we tasted, they were all GREAT!!! Click here to visit their site.
After drinking wine, we went to the Dali museum.
I liked this sign better.
Now that is a cool bench.
From St. Petersburg we moved onto Tampa.
How funny, Scott and Ashley Streets right next to each other. (My name is Scott Ashley Habicht for those of you who don’t know).
This is the “cool” area of Tampa called Ybor City (prononuced E-bore). We were there about 7 hours too soon on Friday to have fun though.
Michelle, an old friend of Kelli’s, stopped by that evening for a visit.
Day three, and a chameleon has gotten into the house.
This things are everywhere in Sarasota, but are not typically as friendly as this one.
Kelli decided to have him for breakfast.
Our last day, and here we are at the airport.
They’re both smiling because I told them I’m going for a walk to leave them alone.
Yes, that’s me and my GPS tracker.
This is our neighborhood from the plane.
Yet another shot as the plane got closer.
Yes, I did use the GPS to determine we were flying near the area.
Last shot of the trip, this one looking from the bottom of our street to the top.
OK, one more, the circle is where our house is.
