After we arrived, we began about the business of drinking.
Yes, it’s easy to see why we would want to drown the memories before they are stored.
As you can see, we were VERY happy to be together.
Even Pepper was excited.
Kelli and I decided to head back to the camper and get some rest for tomorrow.
When we woke in the morning and came back to the house, we found Cousin Kristi and Cousin Brian watching porn.
My mother-in-law at her finest.
Aunt Pam trying to show off her belly button piercing skills.
Going by Pittsburgh, this is where the Steelers play.
We don’t know who these people are, they just showed up at the 4th of July party.
True story, it was a lightning storm and we had to hold the metal tent to keep it from flying away.
This is the family I’ve married into, lucky me.
We thought it would be good to have two pictures in case someone wasn’t looking in the first.
Discussing who the best family member is, of course they decided on me.
Kristi showing us all how to maintain good posture.
I think I’ve seen this beauty somewhere else…
This is my attempt to capture the excitement of lighting 1000 firecrackers.
As with any family function, lots of silly dancing.
Scottie decided to sit this one out.
Diane and Pepper stayed up all night drinking.
A new day, and new fun.
This fun happened to be a roller coaster at Kennywood Amusement Park.
The view from the line to ride the “Thunderbolt”.
Diane and Mike get cozy.
Kristi can’t see very well and thinks she found a hot guy.
Voted most likely to have their picture taken together in an amusement park.
This was taken in the pseudo “Tunnel of Love” ride.
So was this, notice the difference.
We weren’t on their boat, but we did hear rumors of smooching there too.
This was a ride built in 1927, it’s a historic landmark.
In 1927 they lacked cool words so they just named they ride “The Turtle” because you sat in one while riding.
Today’s amusement parks would be more apt to name this the vomit express.
Because it was there, wouldn’t you?
Caught wearing Maryland sports wear.
This is our first round of drinks…the waitress dropped them.
But she brought more, so we were happy.
After a long day, another night of drinking.
She drank both bottles of wine by herself.
They were having pony tail races.
Pete and Scott do their best to look tough.
Mike does his best to look ugly.
The infamous Pittsburgh incline.
Originally built by the German settlers in the late 1800’s.
City living space was short, so everyone moved to the hill sides.
Tired of walking the steep cliffs, the Germans built a tram system reminiscent of the Steilbahns(inclines) from their homeland.
Originally coal and people were moved up and down Mount Washington, now, just people.
Most of which come to have their picture taken on the overlook.
The next set is a group I took so I could make one big panoramic picture.
There were five shots total.
You can see all I did was move the camera to the left for each one.
OK, I’m running out of stuff to say about them.
Last one.
The finished product.
We asked a stranger to take a picture of us.
He thought it wise to take two.
A game of shuffleboard at the local watering hole (MD beat PA).
Outside the bar, this is the front of one of the original trolleys that ran down to the steel mill, who’s logo can also be seen.
This picture was taken so we could remember the name of the bar.
Drinking at dinner, we each had a SIX beer sampler in front of us.
Well, this is the last shot, and these are the folks we came to see.
